There was never any doubt Thompson was going to support his buddy. That is the only reason he remained in the race and served as McCain’s attack dog in South Carolina.

And personally, I like people that have a sense of humor about things. Makes life more enjoyable, doncha think?

My husband said to me about a week ago, 'You laugh a lot' like it was a bad thing. And yeah, I do. I can find humor in about everything imaginable and I do laugh a lot. Frankly, if I didn't, I would lose my mind.

No matter what you do, no matter which path you choose, life is going to suck. Do I worry too much? Yes, I do. But I also find daily small things that give me tremendous pleasure so it balances out. Mostly. LOL. You have to laugh. Without it, you might as well just pack it in.

Good for you.

He sure fooled me, I guess he’s no different than the rest of the Washington politicians after all.

C’est la vie.

Presidential politics have really turned into silly season.

Who has Ron Paul endorsed?

I know this is heresy, but I’ll say it anyway. It won’t be the end of the world (or the country or the republican party either) no matter who gets elected.
Each candidate will have a problematic candidacy. But, if the country goes down the tubes because of one president, well, this country wasn’t as great as I thought. I will go to my online lynching now with dignity. LOL

“I am very disappointed in him also. I feel he led us on, then jumped ship.”

Oh pahleeese....he was the ONLY candidate that warned the ENTIRE party, *on national TV* that a takeover was in the works. That there were ‘those’ who were trying to redefine the party. That this election was about the heart & soul of the Republican party.

Then....military/their families/retired vets ignored the message and chose McCain while Bible thumpers sided with Huck. It’s just that simple. The outcome has been made clear and Fred has chosen to stand & fight as best he can. And so will I....

We’re now in the phase of damage control. Pinch yourselves, put your wee hankies down and roll up your damn sleeves.

Fred, I respect your opinion and I think you would have been a great President.

I don't want to vote for McCain but I can't stand the idea of another Clinton in the White House.

“I also spoke again yesterday to my friend Fred Thompson who assured me he is ready to do whatever it takes to help me win the election in November,” McCain said. “I’m very proud to have the friendship and support of Fred Thompson as well.”

Maybe Fred can play Jiminy Cricket to John’s Pinocchio. John is sorely in need of a conservative conscience to guide him.

I completely agree. I try to laugh as much as possible between bouts of abject depression and dark sarcasm.

Who knows? We might be the sanest inmates in the asylum? LOL

“But I guess we have a slightly better chance at getting a good judge out of McCain than a Hillary judge.”

I don’t know, if one of the lib justices should retire, or whatever, the Dem. majority would never approve a judge that would tilt the balance to conservative. And they’d never allow an equally conservative nominee to replace a conservative retiree.

Here’s a worksheet for President McCain to use:

Column 1: Candidates he’d like to nominate.

Column 2: Candidates Patrick Leahy and Teddy Kennedy will allow out of the Judiciary Committee.

We won’t make any further progress on the SCOTUS until we win back the Senate and the WH.

If FR is the first to bring this to the “peeps”, we must credit Norms Revenge for that. If it is a hoax, then posting the “faux” is my fault.

But can’t people get in a lot of trouble “quoting” lies that Thompson didn’t say? It’s not like he’s brittany spears.
