No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...
The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?
Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.

Ding, ding, ding, ding ... we have a winner.
Don Pardo, tell Def what he's won.
Well you get to win the democratic party as a commander as chief while we are at war. That jab our troops at war feel in the back are the voters giving then hillary/obama.
We also win a pro-choice president picking SCOTUS judges.
But at least you didnt vote for a RINO right?
You go ahead and sit home, us real Conservatives will do that which we have to do. It’s not what we want to do, but it’s what has to be done given the circumstances.
If he knows that you'll clench your teeth and vote for him, then it will do you know good to "hold his feet to the fire" because he knows that your threats are empty. The only threat that matters to these people is the threat of losing their power and if making sure they lose a couple of times is what it takes, then that is what it takes.
And fix our Rino problem in the mean time.
The only way to fix the RINO problem is to throw the RINOs out of office, but...how can you do that if you will vote for them every November as the lesser of two evils?
Grow a FRIGGIN back bone Freepers.
Getting trampled on by the Republican party is not exactly what I would call growing a backbone. In fact, it seems to be rather the opposite.
I’m with you....either I write in FRed, or I leave it blank. I ain’t votin’ for NO MO’ RINO’s, and ESPECIALLY not McLame, regardless of WHO they put in as his VP.....
I wont vote for McCain thats for sure. His Reform Institute is tied to so many left-wing extremist organizations that anybody saying he is better than the other side of the aisle is just flat-out lying.”
That’s true . McCain is a marxist.
millions of illegals with Amnesty = more voters for democrats/socialism/Marxism
McCain-FeinGold = no freedom of speech = no freedom.

Bradley Smith says that the freewheeling days of political blogging and online punditry are over.
In just a few months, he warns, bloggers and news organizations could risk the wrath of the federal government if they improperly link to a campaign’s Web site. Even forwarding a political candidate’s press release to a mailing list, depending on the details, could be punished by fines.
Smith should know. He’s one of the six commissioners at the Federal Election Commission, which is beginning the perilous process of extending a controversial 2002 campaign finance law to the Internet.
In 2002, the FEC exempted the Internet by a 4-2 vote, but U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly last fall overturned that decision. “The commission’s exclusion of Internet communications from the coordinated communications regulation severely undermines” the campaign finance law’s purposes, Kollar-Kotelly wrote.
Smith and the other two Republican commissioners wanted to appeal the Internet-related sections. But because they couldn’t get the three Democrats to go along with them, what Smith describes as a “bizarre” regulatory process now is under way.
CNET News.com spoke with Smith about the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, better known as the McCain-Feingold law, and its forthcoming extrusion onto the Internet.
No RINOs, Marxists, Muslims, Dems or any other scum that floats up from the bottom of the political sewer.

I won't accept responsibility for "breaking it". We got betrayed time and time again once the faux conservatives got in office.
Screw 'em. I won't be fooled again.
Oh you can blow your arrogance out your butt.
Anybody suggesting that somebody connected like this http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1360852/posts
is the best choice for the country is full of it.
Exactly and with McCains buddies sitting in Congress ready to set a policy of amnesty, McCain will gladly sign it into law. We will be told to be quiet just like we have been this whole election process.
Thread number 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999.02687471325687745628778989 on the subject of “if it comes down to McCain, what will you do?”
I think McCain just gave an excellent speech at CPAC. He’s a much better and forceful speaker than W. He’s light years ahead of Hillary or Obama. I really liked him during the Reagan years, and like many here have disliked him recently. I will vote for him and hopefully will keep the Democrats out of the White House.
Agreed. I am going to vote third party. I'm from the Pacific Northwest and lost a lot of friends for openly supporting GWB in 2000 and 2004. I acted on my conscience then and did what I thought was right and best for the country. This year, I will again do what I think is best for the country and that means NOT supporting John McCain. His record speaks for itself.
Does that pic of him with hands at side during the national anthem reflect on character too?
“Personally, I’ll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.”
Wise move, Wise Guy.
Me, too.
But I sense this thread will be dominated by crybabies and idiots who will sacrifice the country “in the name of principle”.
Tip: “principles” don’t mean nuthin’ unless you’ve got a share of the power with which to implement them.
I’m a pragmatist. Do what it takes to win, and don’t apologize. Especially in light of who we will be running against for control of the presidency (and the country) for the next four to eight years.
The other side will do EXACTLY that to us, if we remain “too principled” to fight back on their terms. Hey, that works with Islam, too.

Socialized healthcare will not be reversed. Maybe you can roll back some of the massive tax increases that Hillary will easily push thru the Reid/Pelosi Congress. But it will be harder than ever to get a conservative elected, with the newly minted citizens, now known as "undocumenteds" begin voting.
In addition, Al Queda will be rested and invigorated after Hillary withdraws the troops. Maybe we'll have regional war in the mid-East after Hillary withdraws the troops. Then, everyone can be happy that they stood by their purist conservative principals and passively supported Hillary Clinton by staying home and not voting.
Sorry I went to my 35th high school reunion this past fall. So too late for that *L*
