Fox news just reported that Mark Halprin [sic], from Time Magazine, has information that Mitt Romney will be ending his campaign sometime today.
I'm with you sista.
If McCain/Huckabee get the nomination, I will vote for a Third Party conservative.
Bloomberg is NOT a conservative!
Romney has more class than all the other candidates combined, from ALL parties.
It would not be worth it to him to tarnish his self-respect by getting into the gutter with McCain and Huck.
You got one thing right with all your rantings, I don’t like you.
Name five things where he is different than HRC. Not what he may say today but based on his senate record.
Ok I’ll play...
The Romney has ‘time to read the Golden Tablets’ crack. No need to wisecrack about his faith.
DONT SUPPORT HIM!!! HE NEVER SUPPORTED THE CONSERVATIVES!! OR REP!
“Let Huck and McCain beat on each other for a while, with the option of jumping back in at any time, or wielding influence at the convention.”
Which is while I’ll still vote for Mitt during the primary. He’s keeping his delegates.
...while the establishment Republicans and DemocRATS pick off your rights,
your property, your freedoms, one-by-one - and then feast over the corpse
of our once free republic like the vultures and jackals they are.
Alan Keyes is on the primary ballot in Texas and he will get my (protest) vote.
Not worth taking the chance, but yet, Hillary is not Bill and is very much disliked even by Democrats. If the fight for the Dem nomination also serves to tick off one of their major voting blocks (African Americans) one has to wonder if the perfect third party storm is brewing.
Huck will happily drop out now. Huck was only there to help McCain who is destined, IMO, to lose. But then again, if he won he would more effectively destroy the GOP than Hillary, so even that could be the plan.
I hope you will enjoy watching the raging McCain purge the Republican Party of any meaningful conservative influence with no opposition.
“He wont be able to do that, even if he wants to. Reagan couldnt purge us of liberals!”
He won’t be able to do that because he will be soundly defeated in November and Republicans will have to look for a new face for the party.
Let me clarify: “...the McCain people posting on FR...”
I don’t recall, just as one example, any McCain supporters making sick jokes or vulgar rhymes about Jeri Thompson. That’s just sleazy, and it tells me something about the candidate they support.
Well, the GOP can’t win WITH us icky right-wingers, because we won’t pick a candidate and support them.
The lesson the general GOP membership has gotten in this election is we might as well pick a moderate we like, because even if we promised to vote for the candidate the conservatives told us to, they couldn’t agree on who that was.
Just like here on FR, where people were trashing my candidate, but had NO candidate to offer me that could win a vote.
I’d be happy to rally around anybody’s conservative, but you have to have one candidate to rally around first.
Thompson was REJECTED by a significant portion of the conservative movement. Sure, he was the “2nd choice”, or at least that’s what his supporters said, but being “2nd choice” doesn’t help win elections.
Make sure it's from the Anheuser-Busch family of beers. It's the official adult beverage family of the Hensley-McCains.
Romney was right on illegal immigration and amnesty, the most serious threats to the Republican party.
Once we were down to Huckabee, McCain and Romney it was obvious that Romney was the lesser of three evils. Huckabee is unelectable, a babe in the woods nationally and he was soft on immigration during the first part of his campaign, and McCain wants to give millions of illegal immigrants the vote. Add up the razor thin margins the Republican party has nationally and the tendency of immigrants to vote Democratic by 60% and you get a political realignment in favor of the Democrats. In that political environment the Republican party could only survive by shifting to the left, just as McCain wants.
Best of all for liberals, if McCain loses they can still get amnesty with either Hillary or Barack.
Writing in candidates or voting third party won't stop amnesty and save the Republican party. Voting for McCain won't save us. Only fighting amnesty and all the rest of the RINO agenda directly can save us now.
SOMEONE PLEASE, PLEASE DO A WELLNESS CHECK ON HUGH HEWITT!!!
The poor fellow has been spinning his brains out for a year or more. He might be hanging in his garage at this point!!!
For the LOVE OF GOD, someone check on poor Hugh’s mental status.
