Fox news just reported that Mark Halprin [sic], from Time Magazine, has information that Mitt Romney will be ending his campaign sometime today.
This is heavy-duty.
Our free-republic is in trouble.
Thought I’d read this post to see how quickly the 25% of non Freeper Romney supports would get in here and take their shots. They sure didn’t disappoint.
This election was over before it started. The liberal establishment was planning this for 4 years. Its all over for liberty and freedom in our lifetimes
= = =
Toooo absolutely true.
Sure doesn't sound like a concession speech to me.
So was Benedict Arnold.
‘Not gonna happen. Super delegates vote for her. Obama camp goes crazy, sit out election. Run anyone for GOP, they win. That easy.’
...and the frog turned into the Prince...and they all lived happily ever after!
The End
Here it comes.....
Maybe. But, if Hillary gets in, the new conservative Pres will be saddled with drastically increased income and payroll taxes, a brand spanking new Socialized Healthcare plan for all Americans (including the newly welcomed undocumented workers), a few more Ginsburg-type Supreme Court Justices, higher corporate tax rates (maybe with special levies against the nefarious drug and oil companies), a re-armed and rested Al Queda, etc.
France and Europe will probably like us just swell, though, since we will be eunichs just like them.
LOL, speaking of epic failures...
Petronski's obnoxious attitude probably did more harm to Thompson's campaign than anything else posted here.
his is making a good speech ... problem with him and his whole campaign is the flip flopping ... habitual ... he said in his speech we need entitlement reform ... but weeks ago his campaign was placing ROBO calls in Florida criticizing McCain for voting against Medicare Rx.
People voted for others not because Romney is a Mormon ... it was because he has a credibility problem.
If he wants to run again, he needs to be consistent and out there speaking out for conservative ideas.
Romney just quit the race... I heard it on GPAC.
Ein Volk!
Ein Reich!
Ein Fuerher!
I say. Go for it boyos. I got better things to do with my time and money.
Like concentrating on electing as many solidly Conservative Congress critters as possible. It our only hope of derailing this freight trail of Liberalism heading our way.
1) Hillary is the winner, and although she seeks to consolidate power, she lacks Bill's likeability and is such a control freak that conservatives mount a successful counterattack.
2) Obama is the winner, and his incredible inexperience leaves us badly damaged in a series of new homeland strikes and foreign policy disasters. Conservatives come back in a Jimmy Carter-like revival.
3) McCain takes over and becomes Hoover.
He just conceded.
“I couldnt agree more. Romney hasnt convinced me that hes anything other than a RINO trying to act like hes a conservative. Ive always believed hed prove to be the most liberal and destructive of all the GOP candidates.”
That is the truth of it, his personal money and dishonest campaigning as a conservative probably prevented us from finding a successful conservative challenger to McCain.
For such a shallow, compulsively dishonest, cynic to have won would have fed into a Clinton like decay of American morality.
I understand there are questions, which I will leave it to others to raise.
But to be blunt, without his service he would not be frontrunner, and perhaps we wouldn’t even know his name.
I’m not saying that’s a good thing, or a bad thing. It’s just an opinion.
I do not support his policies, and I do not think a McCain Presidency would be good for the country. But I do honor his service. If there is any dirt, the MSM will dig it up . . . just as soon as a McCain nomination is irrevocable.
America has just traded away the possibility of a dream, for what will certainly become a nightmare.
he is making a good speech that is ...don’t want the mittbots attacking! :>)
For the good of the party and the good of the race, he’s retiring from the race. He’s soooo wrong for leaving.
