They were a better team without Shockey

It cannot be a coincidence that they really began to click once Shockey was injured and out for the season.

Oh, you don't want to remember a game the Giants were routed. Sure they won the superbowl; I don't take that away from them. They also got whipped big time!

http://www.giants.com/gameday/schedule.html

Minnesota 41 New York 17

Giants the best team to get routed.

I wasn’t.

You were saying that Bellichek wasn’t being a sore loser - and I say he was.

No gloating.

Just honest opinion.

My first post is 100% accurate. Not one word is false.
The Pats D has been extremely lucky to get this far.
All year they hung on by the skin of their teeth, when it came down to crunch time they were exposed.
Sorry, deal with it.

"Giants proved they were the best team in the league this year.
Yeah, they proved that in all SIX of their losses!!

Look, the Giants, primarily their D, played a tremendous game and deserves great credit for one of the most memorable SB wins. That does NOT erase all that the Patriots did in the previous 18 games, not even if some Pats players may say that themselves. The SB is the biggest game but it's certainly not the only game, and 18-1 is still quite different from 14-6. AND, this game could so easily have gone the other way at several points in the 4th quarter. The Giants played quite well but also had some lucky breaks (of course that can be said for every close NFL game).

That was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...as far as the Giants are concerned.

It’s not convincing, they won the superbowl, they also lost some games big time. Those are facts, keep your personal attacks coming.

It was a fluke. Anytime Minnesota wins it’s a fluke. They are one of the league’s worst.

Because they did not win the Super Bowl, it is that simple.

I wish someone would interview Tiki Barber now and ask him what he thinks about Coughlin and Eli.

“The minute I saw Giselle Bundchen at the game I knew it was over for Brady and Company. Didn’t they watch the game videos of Romo and Simpson? :)
I thought that it was a bad omen as well.”

What the heck is this, the newest version of Adam and Eve? The temptress woman who causes the man to lose. Or maybe Samson and Delilah? Geez, I’m getting tired of this if a girlfriend shows up to watch her man perform in whatever sport, it’s bad luck. What superstition, and harkens back to all sorts of bad attitudes towards women as the sexual predator who saps men’s strength. Good grief.

Down the stretch, the Patriots struggled, starting with the Eagles game, they clearly were not as dominant as they were in the middle of the season.

This is a league where eventually teams figure you out, it took a good portion of the season, but by the end, teams had the Pats figured out.

Yeh, the Giants were real good when Minnesota stomped them!

Wow. What a great analysis.
