"Yeah, the coaches shook hands at the end. I think a lot of folks here missed it in the excitement."
I saw it. My problem is that he headed for the locker room. I'm sure someone must have told him that the game wasn't over. He had to have known it since his players had to go back on the field. He should have come back out. There was plenty of time for him to do so. He didn't. And his interview was pretty pathetic. I don't think he even congratulated the Giants on their win.

Great game! Thanks for the thread.

The cheating crowd is becoming tiresome. They are beginning to remind me of the 9-11 truthers. Or the whining Seahawks fans after they lost to the Steelers.

I don't know what you are talking about. Bellichek DID cheat. He paid the biggest fine for cheating in NFL history which makes him the biggest cheater in NFL history. Those are all facts you need.

Jenny, he didn't congratulate The Giants in the post game interview. He was supposed to stay on the field/sideline until the game was over. The Pats players did...why didn't he?
No excuse.

“It shows lack of class and poor sportsmanship. I’m not a bit surprised Belichek left like that.
Poor sport, lib loser. Boo...Be-lie-chick.”
Would you guys stop this. Belichek DID go over and congrat the Giant’s coach. They hugged each other. For goodness sakes, be graceful winners, would you? Or put your specs on. He did it when all of the people poured onto the field thinking the game was over. Sheeesh...

They'd trade all of those 18 wins for a win in this game. It is the absolute worst way to lose a championship.I said the exact thing to my daughter tonight. You can take a loss but not this one. Absolutely not this one.

There really is a lot of parity, lowest NFC wildcard or something they were saying to do it. I guess, Pittsburgh was some sort of wildcard as well.

Nonsense. The same was said about the Pats when they lost to Indy last year and the Broncos before that. Every year they’ve lost in the playoffs, they’ve comeback to go to the Superbowl the next.

Well, can you blame him ... his team just fell from BEST (supposedly) of all time to 43rd best (behind all the Super Bowl champions)?
To: Gondring
So his players knew to stay and he was confused on the matter?

???????? Why? They still won more games in a row than any other team ever has-INCLUDING the 72 Dullfins. We'll never know if the 72 Dolphins could have won 19 in a row that year, because they only had to play 17. But the 72 Dolphins did it without their starting QB for most of the year, and they had to go on the road for the AFC Championship Game, as they didn't have the concept of home-field advantage based on record then.
