“New Batman Joker.”
I was looking forward to his role in that.
Many of the comments about Brokeback are just uncalled-for. Playing a murderer is just fine but a homosexual? Unforgivable by the hate-spewing FReepers it would seem. He’s and actor for Christ’s sake.
RIP, Keith. Sorry to see you go so very early.

How sad... Prayers for all of Mr. Ledger’s family and friends... He was a good actor, and was too young to pass...

Looking at this movie list I have to double-down that Casanova was his best. A well written, acted, movie with enough plot to hold my interest.

Ditto.

Filming on “The Dark Knight” wrapped a few months ago. Presumably, all of this guy’s scenes are already in the can.
To: Pablo64
The guy didn’t play a cowboy, he played the part of a sheep herder.

Filming is done, so Ledger will still be in the movie.
However, I wonder if this affects the release any.

So much potential is right.
What a waste of an talent.
Add this to Brad Renfro and you have to wonder what the hell is going on in the acting profession.

Jesus, there are some cold people in here. Yeah he was in Brokeback Mountain, but that didnt make him gay or a freak. I give him credit for playing a tough role which garnered him an oscar nomination. He also has been in a number of other quality movies....including The Patriot, A Knights Tale, the new batman movie which loves absolutely great. People need to stop making smartass cracks. The man is dead at 29 for godsake. Prayers for him and his family.
Amen to that. God bless him, his family and his now fatherless child. A tragedy.

It was just reported (on MSNBC) that it was probably drug related. He had made an appointment to get a massage, and the housekeeper went to find him when the massuse got to his apartment. She found him dead in his room with pills scattered all over the place, just about an hour and a half ago.

Course it affects the release. He’ll now be prominently featured and used in promos. People love the newly dead.

That's a shocker. He was so young. And though he was just starting out, he showed talent and promise. Ledger played an addict in an Australian film called Candy. That probably means nothing, but ...

I thought #10 was a great post.

Ledger was a good actor with a promising future. I loved him as Mel Gibson’s eldest son in The Patriot. RIP Keith.

New York Times and Bloomberg both reporting it now.
Sadly, it looks like Heath Ledger has died.
Very talented young man. What a damn shame.
Lord have mercy on him.
