First Thompson is the ‘only’ Reagan.

Now he’s Washington.

Before long, he’ll be Jesus Christ.

FredHeads don’t support FDT; they worship him.

You want so badly to find some controversy that you come up with crap like that? You are pitiable in your smallness. I’m sorry that you have no ability to see an attempt to rally supporters as anything but worship. You are small and petty and foolish.

Should you feel the need to reply, know that you will be ignored.

Oh puh_leeeze. Fred just is the only candidate who represents the principles that conservatives believe.

I can only speak for myself, but I do not worship any man (or woman, well, maybe my wife). Thompson is the only conservative in the race. Yes, I know he wasn’t a conservative in 1972, but neither was I.

I do not believe that any other Republican currently in the race would get the conservatives motivated to work and vote for him. IOW, anybody else will lose in November, no matter whom the Dems nominate. Republican presidential candidates do not have a very good track record if they do not mobilize the conservative base.

The ability to win in November, which seems to be what motivates Republicans to misguidedly nominate non-conservatives, is only half of the story. Even if Huck or Mac win in November, what would he do after he becomes President? The recent records of Huck and Mac do not reassure me that they will even nominate Constitutionalists as justices, let alone support other conservative causes.

“FredHeads don’t support FDT; they worship him.”

They remind me a little bit of Cubs fans. Any day now Fred will kick it into high gear and then he’ll win this thing. Or if that doesn’t work a brokered convention where Fred will limp in with 5 delegates and no natioanal support and somehow be chosen.

I’ve worked up a scenario that has Thompson winning at a brokered convention. It goes like this.

After the casting of many ballots, there is still no clear first choice, so the candidates retire to a smoky back room to hammer out a deal....McCain and Rudy go ballistic and a melee ensues. During the melee Romney and Hucakabee are killed, then Rudy and McCain turn on each other. This leaves Fred, who missed the melee on account of he had fallen asleep in his chair, as the GOP nominee. I don’t see how this can fail. LOL

First Thompson is the ‘only’ Reagan.

I agree...yet his energy level and maybe an occasional smile will boost his support.

The things that I loved about Reagan were his smile, his overwhelming love of his country, his constant pronouncement that anything good is possible in the United States, his firmness in dealing with adversaries....and his, cocked head in response to stupid media questions, "well......there you go again"....

Do you understand that Huck supporters, by backing a fiscal liberal and a man weak on defense you have alienated fiscal/defense voters from ever backing your guy? You could have had it all with Fred as far as a candidate goes but you got greedy. Now if Fred does poorly and drops out Huck will suffer because most Fred supporters will back Romney or someone else? If Fred goes the values voters will be replaced with moderates and we both lose. If I can get security and low taxes and spending with McCain or Rudy or Mitt, why would I choose Huckabee who has lied through his teeth since starting his campaign? No matter what Huckster, your guys have lost, unless a solidly pro life guy like Fred wins the nomination. I would prefer a guy who is pro life but if I have to choose between the three legs of the Republican Party I will choose low taxes and strong military.

At least Thompson is not trying to establish his own Ultimate Mega Church with pandring lies.

Who better to support, than Fred?

We are told that a vote for Thompson is a vote for McCain.

In reality...

A vote FOR Thompson
is
A vote AGAINST McCain
A vote AGAINST Huckabee
A vote AGAINST Giuliani
A vote AGAINST Romney
And, in the end,
A vote AGAINST Clinton
A vote AGAINST Obama
*******
See how much good one little vote can do?

Not even close; we respect him and think he'd be the best of the existing bunch of candidates as President. If you don't like all the threads about Fred, just ignore them, so you don't have to be so annoyed by us. ;o)

Fred's more popular than Jesus, just like the Beatles.

ROTFLMAO! That was great! There is the Church of FRed mentality around here. The problem is the same people were the “head in the sand” we are saying we were going to gain seats in the Senate in 2006. I just wish they could be realistic and live in the real world. That is not hard to do, heck I try everyday. lol.
