Today is the day.
“John McCain will protect them from robots who eat old people’s medicine for fuel.”
LOL.. I don’t even have to click the link. I remember that skit very well. “Anyone who tries to tell you there are no robots, may themselves, in fact, be a robot.” LOL
Was that story ever denied or anything?
The Bush legacy is bound to be more mixed than the sentiment on this thread.
Leadership after 9-11.
So far, no similar attacks.
John Roberts, Sam Alito
Tax cuts that produced similar to what the Kennedy and Reagan tax cuts produced, and pulled us out of the economic demise that Osama had planned for us.
Stem Cell policy
Partial Birth Abortion Veto
Very good pro-life record in general
Vision for freedom in the world’s deeply troubled, violent areas (whether you agree or not or care or not, it is a positive vision based on western religious and American values
Brought a sense of respect and decency back to the Oval Office after Clinton.
I know the Bush bashers well. I’m not talking to them or about their views when I mention the good things by this President. When I say legacy I’m being literal...what a legacy is, NOT what somebody says about someone while they are still President everytime something goes wrong.
The Republicans (so far) in this nation have NO EXCUSE for what they have done. The truth about McCain and Huckabee and conservative principles is out there and plain for all of them to see. They fell for the media’s template. Inexcusably.
Thank you.
In 1964, George Romney stood up and walked out of the 1964 GOP convention in protest of the Goldwater/Reagan conservatism of the day.
I hope Slick Willard and his three Horsemen buddies won’t mind too much if I return the favor.
I think this race just came down to Romney and McCain. McCain has done god awful in closed states. Both Florida and Maine are closed.
Fox is pushing McCain....disgusting.
Please don’t tell me Huckabee be the nominee because of the South. We’re lost.
You are very negative person!
Romney will win the general.
I will ask Monday if he has websites or whatnot for corroboration.
Full Disclosure: He is a FRedhead who would have gone for Hunter if Hunter had better numbers; and who very reluctantly will go for Romney if FRed drops out, on the grounds of at least he has run a business in the real world and has the grace to *pretend* to be conservative.
Cheers!
I agree. But the havoc of 08 will go down in history. Yes - there is still a lot of time to pull this one out of the dumpster for true conversatism. But the problem is - we are living in the age of the populist - conservatism be damned - until we are attacked again (oh yeah, we still have a very real enemy) - and then it might be too late. All politics are local - we need to keep up the good fight all the way to Nov - and then we’ll see.
Not that I know of. In fact, it resurfaced just recently.
“Yankee Republican is NOT going to win the presidency, whether his name is Rudy or Flip.”
You are dead wrong. We need norther appeal to win. Last two were too close for me.
Would not matter without a candidate and truck loads of cash. American Politics getting like the last part of the Roman Empire.
You need tons of money to buy the office. Mitt won Nevada and Wyoming basically unchallenged no one had the money to challenge him.
“Romney will win the general.”
I don’t think so, but let’s hope it never comes
to that.
No kidding. Bob Novak just said McCain is going to get the nomination, that Romney's win in Nevada doesn't matter. What bull. McCain hasn't faced any conservatives yet. I hope he enjoys tonight cause it's not going to be like this on Feb 5. How do these people come to these ridiculous conclusions? Romney has more delegates than the other three together! I want Fred to stay in if for no other reason than to irritate Huckabee and McRino.
Which is why we are called the stupid party. Fred would have walked away with this if he had worked like the others early on.
McCain will be tough to beat. As a potential Commander in Chief, he will have more than an edge over any alternative.
I find it interesting that several weeks ago, this election was about the WOT, then illegal immigration, then "it's the economy,stupid"...
Seems to me that the news of the day depends on whoever is considered the front runner of the day. Anyone willing to lay odds that the WOT is going to come back to the forefront since that appears to be McCain's strength?
Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.
He has no proof that Mitt ever said that, but what he heck he says, why not run with it!
The very thing he accuses Mitt of he is doing it himself!
