To post 2474, your right. I would add that Fred needs to stick with it for awhile at least.
Things can change so quickly when his opposition is so fake.
It’s like Obama vs Hillary, subconsciously they are still thinking support Hillary so a ‘D’ wins.
This same thinking is working against Thompson, hey, we need a winner in there to beat Hillary.
But, thats not a sure thing as time progresses.

Romney can also win California. McCain is too old, California will want someone with youth and energy, new ideas, business experience.

Stranger things have happened, and
this is obviously a strange election

The very slick spin that Myth’s comments were “just a joke” is not wearing well. Nobody believes that because the quote is SO Willard.

It may be too that the upcoming nominee will make Bob Dole look electable.
True if it is McCain. Watching him now makes me remember how much effort it took to put him away in 2000. It won't be easy, but we've done it before.
I don't want to hear right now about the Republican that can beat Hillary (most of them can). I wanna hear about the Republican who can beat McCain. That man must be stopped, and I believe Mitt Romney can do it.

I don’t know, but don’t go there. The SBC fractured several years ago and the moderate baptists (of which I am one)aren’t “liberal”. Just opposed signing a doctrine which supported things like opposition of women as pastors or deacons. Doesn’t make anyone less “Christian”

Dunno. Then again, wasn’t Reagan aboout to pick Gerald Ford as his VP?
To: Vision
she will go down in flames ala 1984Beaten by two guys who can't get 20% of the Republican vote between them?
The message of these primary elections is that "conservatism" is a dying force IN THE GOP, and is nonexistent on the other side.

I have long said: I am a Republican when they are conservative, and not when they are not. If Fred is not the nominee, I am writing his name in on my ballot in November. I wont do diddly squat to help any of the liberals who remain.Well said.
To: Theodore R.
MI has never rejected a Clinton. There's always a first time. 'Course with all the cheatin' going on Hillary would win even if Obama is the nominee. ;)
