I think Huck’s the monkey wrench in the conservative machine. He’s got a lot of liberal positions along with some bone fide conservative ones, and he’s taken a major chunk of the votes away from Thompson.

If Huckabee were not in the race Thompson would be well ahead of McCain. I can’t see his supporters getting behind McCain or Romney.

If you take Hucks 30% and put it with Thompson South Carolina looks about the way it ‘ought’ to look, i.e.
Thompson 45%
McCain 35%
Romney 14%

Not that it makes the slightest amount of difference. Huck’s supporters have the same right to vote for their candidate as I do for mine. And they certainly are doing just that.

Me, too. Afraid he will endorse McCain.

I fear you are right. All my fellow FredHeads who are still optimistic at this point must not have a good command of mathematics. Fred didn’t win or pull off a 2nd, and he can’t at this point in SC for sure, and he won’t in FL.

Then comes Super Tuesday. IMPOSSIBLE to get his message across to all those states. He gets zero positive media coverage. He can’t do all this on his own, even with so many of us helping.

It’s just so WRONG but it’s the truth.

I wish he were 55 and not 65 so he’d consider going Veep to Romney. How old is McCain again?

Black women are not going to give up their chance to vote for BHO—but you have to remember the pull that Lindsey has with trial lawyers. Trial lawyers can make all kinds of things happen.

Sure quite a few have delegates, but some only ONE. Thompson has next to nothing going into Super Tuesday. Florida isn’t going to bless him with much.

He’s toast.

Funny... I had copied the first couple of sentences to quote and say what you said. Thanks for saying it.

Fred can keep his name on the ballot right? Does that cost him money?
But yeah, if it’s not realistic to get the nomination, he might as well drop out, save people’s time and money. I’m sure he’s tired.

Mitt is now in FL campaigning and giving speeches. The energy this guy has at 60 years of age is inspiring.

the party simply will not take a chance on McCain, imnsho. Hes’ too undependable and unpredictable. Huckabee will not get our support, its that simple. There is a lot of time left.
The delegates do not have to vote for who they were “assigned” to as far as I know. A lot of dealing goes on.

I asked, there were not previous pages, they had 3 voters half-way through the day.

From the folks I talked too, that seems the pattern. Dems are chomping at the bit to vote next Saturday.

Looking at that map it will be awhile before anyone calls this race.

Florida is a closed primary, thank god. Romney should do very well there.

You’re pretty deep behind enemy lines yourself, grey_whiskers. Minnesota might be the one place more pinko than Hollywood...

Remember Gen. Creighton W. Abrams at the Battle of the Bulge?

"They've got us surrounded again. The poor bastards."

Besides, if global warming is true, that would just cut a month off of the cross-country skiing season...6 below zero as I write this, heading for -15 overnight.

Cheers!

So many isn’t enough, because they aren’t voting for him (or he would place a LITTLE better than he has).

I don’t think the black women’s vote is 100% for Obama, some of them like the Queen of Marx.

How old is McCain again?

Human years? 71.

I have no idea what that number would be in jackass years.

Sorry, Hun. I can understand the wisdom of your observations, but I’m not buying it.

Thompson still in 3rd.
