Brit Hume just called it.
Here's the BIG question: How many of those groups also overlap into gun owners? Huckabee was the only candidate who even mentioned the 2nd Amendment during the last debate and it was a major part of one of his answers. For the rest of the hour it was not brought up again. I was disappointed that Fred didn't bring it up. Also the quote from Huckabee on sending our enemies to see the "Gates of Hell" resonated with me very deeply. I'm still in the Fred camp but Huckabee is looking better all the time. Nobody is perfect and there is going to be a "down side" to everybody, even Fred. But Huckabee is mentioning my issues more and more and he's framing them in the same way that I see them.
Brilliant response. You must be a member of Mensa.......and the ACLU.
I’m glad that Romney won.
I’m uncommitted and hoping this race will stay open so a real conservative can emerge.
And to keep it wide open I’m rooting for Fred Thompson to win in South Carolina on Saturday.
thats BS
the Dems were cheering for Romney today, too.
thats BS

I agree, total BS. I saw that Kos blog encouraging MI dems to crossover and vote for Romney. But most of the comments were, “Huh? What?”
Local reporters here in Detroit reported interviewing crossover voters and they were heavily for McCain.
It was just cover for their real desire to knock out the most presidential republican candidate.
I agree, but I’d pick a serious candidate, so the message wouldn’t get lost. I’d probably write in Hunter or Thompson.
I look at the long run.
If I vote for a radical, social liberal republican, then I’ve helped to kill the conservative movement in the party. I know that the rino power brokers and the liberal media have joined to foist some kind of liberal on us. The people, so undiscerning, have gone after these fake conservatives and non-conservatives as soon as they are pushed on the tube.
If they can succeed at that now, then they can succeed at it in 2012, 2016, etc.
Better to withdraw true conservative support from the party and let them go down in flames.
Then, four years from now, we’ll get a chance at a true conservative candidate to rally behind.
Both Talking Points Memo and KOS were praying for a Romney victory.
They think he will be easier to beat than McCain.
With a Dem/Liberal at the helm; and with blessings of the NEA behind this Party. It would cease quickly to be a 'viable' option; if one at all.
They see this as a threat, far greater than 'trans fats'. . .
Mitt care is not socialised, its private sector like denmark.
Quite frankly, those things don't make you a conservative. What makes you a conservative is a belief in limited government, maximum individual freedom, strong national defense, protection of life, etc.
It ain't over till the fat lady sings. Way too soon to be calling final results, especially since nobody has scored two in a row so far. Is Romney your guy? 'Cause I read your about page and for somebody whose top issues include strong morals and family values I would think Mitt's pandering to the gay agenda and the baby butchers from his record in MA would be troubling. Not to mention that his state sport some of the most draconian gun laws in the nation.
It’s Michingan.
“Conservative” and “Republican” don’t actually mean the same thing up there...
Thank you.
So, what have we learned from the Michigan primary?
1. Romney is leading the delegate count by a 2 - 1 margin over Huckabee.
2. McCain cannot win a primary without Democrat cross over votes, just as we saw in 2000.
3. Guiliani is a non factor.
4. Duncan Hunter, Conservative, needs to withdraw before he gets so marginalized he isn’t viable in a future GOP administration in some role.
5. Every state has a 10% Kook factor, hence Ron Paul.
6. Hillary Clinton officially has a HUGE problem with Black Voters. HUGE PROBLEM.
All you idiots you support the Rino can thank yourselves for abandoning conservative principles for political expediency.
Romney is a fake republican.
If the republicans choose a RINO to run against Hillary/Obama, then we deserve nothing less than Hillary/Obama.
The base will not support a RINO like Romney. Without the base, we cannot win the national elections.
Think about that before you pull the lever for a RINO.
“Hillary Clinton officially has a HUGE problem with Black Voters. HUGE PROBLEM.”
I disagree with this statement. I think the black uncommitted vote was more pro-Obama than anti-Hillary.
A Clinton-Obama ticket will be difficult to beat, especially if Romney is the nominee.

(chuckle)
Watch as this plays out. I think Obama is going to win the DNC nomination. He wins 66-14 among Black voters against Clinton from the last numbers I saw.
Thank you!
