I am sure, given my chosen candidate, I will get flack for it.

Maybe you should allow us to help you pick a candidate you don’t have to be self conscious about? :)

If this primary results in a close win for McLame over Romney then in my opinion this is a HUGE win for Romney and he had better take it and run.

McLame has written off the jobs that have left the state and says he can turn it around by offering retraining. Well Larry, talking from experience from the past year, TRA pretty much offers retraining for the manufacturing environment which according to him will not return.

I personally know hundreds of people who lost their jobs when my plant closed. Production workers with years of experience, journeymen electricians, millwrights, pipefitters, tool and die makers, jig and fixture builders......etc. What the "F" kind of retraining are you going to give these guys if you have written off the manufacturing environment????

The only thing that will save Michigan is to change the environment to one that is "employer friendly". Specifically, turn Michigan into a Right to Work State......(SIGN THE PETITION LARRY!), grant tax amnesty to existing manufacturing companies and offer extended amnesty to any new auto companies willing to set up shop here.........

Just wondering what the turnout was like on the Dem side. Did Obama supporters still vote in their primary as “undecideds”, or did they decide to take part in the Republican primary to help decide who OUR nominee should be (i.e. helping McCain). Any talk about that on the cable stations? (My daughters are watching American Idol - blech... and I don’t have cable, so I’m kind of in the dark right now! LOL).

I see a post above this saying no returns are coming in yet from the Republican primaries? Interesting... Any word at all on who is leading now?

I agree with you. I think this will help Rudy since the wins have been spread around.

Just my 2 cents worth but Edwards is a rich Trial Lawyer and now that he has a taste of power he probably will stay in it til the primaries and the nomination are over..He may see himself as a VP candidate if Billary decides not to select Obama or Richardson...Richardson is out of the running, keeping his millions intact but until he endorsed Obama he seemed to be a lap dog for Billary...

"Good luck with Hillary. She will give you some more judges like Ruth. Happy days in your strange world."

It's already strange, stranger still under most 2008 scenarios.

Question is whether we're better in long run with an all socialist government (McCain or Juliani / Hitlery or Obama, very little difference) - or with a socialist administration and increasingly motivated conservative opposition at the grass roots and elected to congress?

Would Huck or Romney move the conservative cause forward or let it stagnate further as second fiddle within the Republican party?

Are we better off passing as democrats under a RINO banner or as cadre for a new Republican (minority) party?

Why isnt Duncan hunter listed in any of those polls ????

Isnt he on the Michiga n ballot ????

Duncan is the only conservative running...Then FRed

If any of the l;iberal/RINOs get the GOP nomination..Romney, McCain, Gulianni, Huckabee, Paul...we will be sunk as a nation...

Any of those five will be as bad as Hillary and worse than Obama...

The voter I referred to wasn’t black but I don’t think Hillary or Barack can beat a good Repulican choice.
If we pick McVain or Huckleberry, we deserve to lose.

“There’s been no polling for a while out of NV. Some think Romney will do well as there are a lot of Mormons in NV.”

I live in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas, and the only signs I have seen so far are Shillary's and Romney's.

I'm a Fred supporter, but I could back Romney if I absolutely had to do so. I'm interested to see what's going to happen at the caucus this weekend.

So I should vote for your candidate, cause you think so? How cute is that?

I think it's funny that they will tell you before the vote that all the "smart" Thompson supporters will vote for Mitt because it will help everyone in the long run to get rid of McCain. But, I'm sure after the vote they will all being hooping and hollering that Mitt is the MAN and Thompson is irrelevant because he got a lower percentage of the vote than McCain.

Yup - EVERYTHING I say or do has to do with Mitt. /sarc

I won’t comment on your butting into something that’s not your business.

What I will say is that it was a carryover from another thread where the poster (- one of the Gang of 14 Mitt Haters ie - a group of posters who do nothing all day but wait for Mitt threads and then attack Mitt and his supporters - Almost all of them have anti-Mitt tags unlike most Freepers who are FOR someone/something) and I were having a discussion.

Here’s the M.O. - Mitt hater makes snide remarks, I don’t rollover, and I fight back HARD - Mitt hater and his trolls are “appalled.”

Been down the road many times...
