having less than 41 senators? The dems don’t need to do anything except win the presidency and stick with what they already have in order to achieve their agenda.
You can be sure missile defense will be dismantled, concede the war in Iraq and domestic terrorists will be coddled and not even a filibuster will change this.
..so I'm going to be doing my part in my county as hard as I can...
..I've signed up to speak to groups, phone, hold signs, etc.....I will not give up on Hunter.
If he's willing to do this on a grassroots level, I will be his grassroot in my little corner of the country!
I understand fully what you're saying, how you feel...
..but we can't give up!...
God is sovereign.
Actually, the Huckster is saying some good, if impractical things. I’m kinda shocked.
If he changes the anti-”anchor baby” agenda from a Constitutional Amendment to legislative action, he might win my support.
Also, I’m one of those nutty Fair Tax supporters.
Of course he could be lying. His lips are moving, after all.
I don’t think I’ll ever forgive McCaine for CFR, POW/MIA, Gang of 14, Amnesty, etc., so I agree with you there.
Do you in all honesty think a Republican will appoint 3 Gloria Steinem types to the Supreme Court which will affect this country for the NEXT 30 YEARS!
You tickle me funny!
.
I have always hated Americans pitting themselves against each other; the insults, the lies & distortions, the advocacy of hate. It seemed to especially be prevalent from Democrats.
I shared my disappointments with fellow Republicans and found the exact venom that comes from the left. Example:
Youre a freak. You shouldnt be allowed to vote.
Please don't do that. Be better than Democrats. Influence with reason, not with insults. These are fellow Americans and patriots you are talking to.
The political party does *not* set the ideology, that belongs to each individual voter. There is an ideological connection (which has apparently weakened), with the platform being crafted to appeal to the majority of voters who identify with the party. As far as "wandering" candidates, the party is to blame for more than just failing to push them toward acceptance of the core party platform issues.
In the case of the GOP, they want to make the party *bigger*, like a business. To accomplish this, the party leadership has decided to stretch the party to the left. Then, come election time, the more left-leaning candidates pay lip service to the platform and the voters are supposed to swallow it.
I don't want a third party. I want to rid the GOP of its liberal tapeworm.
McCain won in New Hampshire because a lot of "independents" decided to vote for him instead of Obama.
Frankly I think we need to change the rules on primaries and only allow people who register to vote Republican at least 60 days before the election to have a say in who the Republican Party can pick to run in the general elections.
I for one am damned sick and tired of our primaries being decided by people who can't even decide which party they want to belong to until they walk into the voting booth.
Only idiots don’t show up to vote. I doubt there are many in this forum that stupid.
Huck won’t change anything. the fair tax gives him a way out of his poor tax and spending record. What’s his plan B to cut taxes?
Your pictures make an excellent point. Hillary in 2008 = a Republican Congress in 2010 and a conservative Republican President in 2012.
McCain & Huckabee would lead us to 20+ years in the wilderness.
Buchannan won NH once..
Keep the faith lol
if mccain didn’t win, romney would. or even Huck. whatever
I agree with you there...it COULD be a fluke.
Now that is downright silly. It may be true if a person does not vote because he just doesn't bother to vote any election, then gripes about what is going on.
However, to go out and vote for someone whom you believe is unacceptable, is supposed to then give you a right to gripe, is absurd.
Do you see that if you then b*tch, you will be told "well, you voted for him".
Thats what happens when you hold your nose and abandon principle over and over.
Sometimes it is hard, and a risk to stand up and say "no more". It took me years to learn to stand up for what I felt was right in some personal matters.
When I finally did, I got results. No more falling back on "I gotta right to B*tch" philosophy. When I decided not to cross over that line in the sand, I found out that for once, I got my way
They will replace brit with chris matthews before it’s done.
LLS
For the record, if Duncan Hunter is still on the ballot he’ll probably get my vote. I don’t have to hold my nose to vote YES for him.
As to voting, I take the right and privilege very seriously. My grandfather was a paratrooper in WWII and when I vote, I think of him and all the others who fought on our behalf. To me, NOT voting, even if it’s a “hold-your-nose-vote” is a slap in the face of their sacrifices.
If someone else I know is whining about our next president and they didn’t vote, I can tell them to shut up. They didn’t earn that right.
