That's the sense I get---that we're talking 1-2% here.
Ultimately, one would hope that Obama gets mad enough, or desperate enough, to actually fight back, make some errors, and expose some of his weaknesses. So far, he's been cool and collected.

I owe nothing but contempt to the corrupt politician who, along with his pal Ted Kennedy, wants to merge my homeland with Mexico. History? Charles Keating’s bagman?

In other words, your pulling this out of your ass. BTW, McCain wasn’t even in Congress in the 70s

“And just an observation concerning McCains victory speech. Im amazed that people can get worked up at such a non-inspirational, non-charismatic prepared speech.”
Wasn’t that awful?
I just made a comment that he couldn’t even say “thank you,” without reading it...and stumbling on the words at that!

There is no Republican coalition left outside of Hunter and Thompson supporters. This Party is dying because of a liberal virus fomented and sold by East Coast elitists and a left wing press. Conservatives will NOT go away... and our voices will be heard. We are not leaving the party... the party is leaving us... and I know just how Reagan felt.

Oh, so realistic analysis of a race now constitutes "bashing" of a conservative candidate (who, by all accounts has run a lackluster and even lazy campaign).
Interesting.
But, since I've been here since close to the beginning, I'll let you leave.

Wake up! Fred is the only conservative in the top five. You just keep on thinking that.

This is Free Republic, we support and promote conservative candidates. Fred and Hunter are our top two choices. Nuff said.

The only two candidates I dislike on the GOP side are Huck and McCain. I do not think Fred is a serious candidate, based on his organization, his incredibly late entry and staffing, his fundraising, and his unwillingness/inability to campaign in a "gimme" state like WY.
But it's interesting how people resort to name calling when the analysis isn't going their way. Shows me I must be spot on.

Grow up and stop promoting liberal candidates.
And who I choose to vote for, will be a cosnervative, not a liberal and probably not a moderate either.

Lots of garment-rending, hair-tearing and gnashing of teeth going on here on different threads. Sighhhh....too bad.

Fred’s doing THAT well? I didn’t expect much for him in NH. They’re not his kind of Republicans.

8 years later, same result. McCain couldn’t win the nod last time and he can’t win it now.
Uhhh, just the thought of holding my nose to vote for this guy makes me sick to my stomach. Thankfully, I don’t think it will happen.

Good grief. Are you truly unaware that Thompson didn’t even campaign in New Hampshire? He bypassed today’s primary entirely.

Remember the words of WF Buckley, Jr: I will support the most conservative candidate in any election who has a legitimate opportunity to win. So, in the primary, if its Fred, fine. In the general, look for the next most right-ward guy.DITTO!

At least Mitt is spending his own money. God love him for that. (Fred too, to a large degree).
Note that Huck and McCain have spent (in essence) taxpayer dollars that they used via their time in office which has increased their more recent visibility. Everybody, in one way or another "buys" votes. Certainly Bush did when he raised more money than any other candidate in history, and I'm glad he did.

Other that I respect his service. I’d like him and his wife to retire near the border in Arizona. Then he can host all the illegal aliens, drug dealers, coyote runners, Hezzbully and Islamic Jihad passing through.
You just know McShamnesty will settle down in N. VA where he will start a DC lobbying firm called McCain & Associates, or some such. He will be a frequent guest at a Hillary Clinton WH.
Both he and Hillary (and BO, of course) have to be defeated, or I don't see much hope for the Republic. Huckafraud must go down, as well.

We that’s just nice that your interpretation of conservatism is all that matters. BTW, please do tell what the philosophical beliefs of a conservative as measured by you are.
