Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #14 Milford, New Hampshire 01/06/08 - Official Discussion Thread
Fox News Channel; Roundtable format
Candidates the gatekeepers are allowing to participating:
Free country and all that...:-)
That explains alot
Exactly.
Personal attack will not help your candidate....sorry.
I’m a Christian and I’m voting for Mitt; so are many other Christians I know.
But I think I’ll end our conversation right here, because I suspect I’m not talking with a sane person.
Unlike in Iowa, the born-agains down he are fiscal conservatives too—plus we already had a Jim Bakker,so the Huck won’t get as much traction in SC.
So it will be either Mitt or Fred and if the three decade history of our “first in the South” primary (forget Florida, they are about as Southern as cream of wheat)continues, one will be the GOP nominee.
I think your right with Huckabee. He's only a contender because of cheerleading by a media that knows he's easy to defeat in the general election.
He’s my candidate now. But soon he will be the candidate of all of us. Or will you vote for Hillary/Obama?
InSane will not win on Tues.
He needed this debate and he lost it horribly. He also got nailed on the age issue. Even if he was electable, why would you want a 75 yr old President?
Fred against Obama would make popcorn stock go way up. What a delightful contest that would be.
I am so far removed from the Democrat way of thinking that I needed last night’s debate in my face to remind me that these people are SCARED TO DEATH of their own voters. There is so much they cannot even SAY for fear of the intense hatred they will receive from the Most Tolerant People On Earth.
Obama would need to be wearing Depends for that debate, because he would be forever stuck between having to answer Fred’s excellent points truthfully AND please his voters, and you can’t actually do both if you are a Dem.
Frankly, I thought that Rudy’s answers and demeanor were the best in this debate. I know that no one here will agree with me, but both my husband and I agreed, Rudy did a good job.
vaudine
Romney was too slick tonight. He did not win in my opinion. I just don’t trust him. Can’t really tell you why.
Just don’t trust him.
If you are as conservative as I think you are, I am sure you understand that.
My friends and I may be the last of the Reagan Conservatives. Maybe it is time for another party for me, If the GOP goes the way of the Huskster, I have no home poltically.
Stabbing the troops, It think not, just sent a care package Friday to a friend in Afghanistan. The GOP needs to give the Troops a CIC that will have their back, you tell me which ones other than Fred fill that role.
You don’t happen to drive a black Dodge truck do you?
It has the only Rudy sticker I have seen in Mississippi...
Ya know. The more I think about it, McCain has more of the problem than Fred does.
If we put McCain up against Obama, it will truly be 1996 revisited. Like Dole, he’s a war hero (in the last war). Looks old...and will look much more so after a grueling year long campaign. Moderate Republican with little support among the conservative base.
Why, I can almost see McCain falling off the stage like Dole did!
thanks
Rudy looked good, I agree.
