I could handle Romney as Secretary of Commerce under President Thompson.

Okay, so Fred isn’t The Huckster, Orator Extraordinaire; Who is so gifted at speaking that he seems never to answer the question directed his way.

He doesn’t spout off the first thing that comes to his mind like the infamous Romney “Consult the attorneys” debate gaffe.

He doesn’t have a lisp and spout off random statistics along with saying “New York City” about every five seconds. (along with the constant Eye Bulge Punctuations)

Fred takes his time, and doesn’t let the moderator or the other participants rush him. His deliberate drawl exudes confidence and leadership. Out of the five on the stage tonight, I’ll take Fred Thompson all day long, and twice today, being Sunday.

We’re all entitled to our vote, and that includes me.
His name is Romney not Goodhair, and he could well eventually be the CIC.

I cannot envision any Democrat as the CIC, and I aim to prevent that happening.

Have a nice evening.

Not to mention that he did nothing to help her campaign.

I do think that Mitt will beat McCain on Tuesday. McCain was supposed to get many of the Independent voters. I think that alot of them will go to Obama. Mitt clearly beat McCain tonight in the debate. It will be really close, but I think Mitt will pull it out. IMHO

I suppose that everyone here likes to agree with eachother on everything. Millions of posts over 10 years of everyone agreeing with eachother and putting down people who don’t agree. OK.

Pretty expected for Mitt to do well in Boston’s bedroom community of NH. Not exactly a Rudy or Fred crowd. Mitt did do very well as well as Fred and Rudy.

Pray for W and Our Troops

The talk tomorrow may be (or should be) how far off and biased the post debate analysis was.

The only thing worse than one of these debates is listening to Hannity gushing over it.

Bob Dylan "Theme Time Radio" on XM 2 now playing Louvin Brothers.

Oh, God forbid he may win the nomination but no mormon will be elected POTUS.

The GOP can't win without the south and the south isn't going to vote for him.

I would be the last person not to understand health care debt, especially right now.

If I can find a catastrophic coverage only policy that you can afford I know you would get it.

Doesn’t McCain have the lead, though? And Frank’s focus group indicated that they had decided AFTER this debate that they liked Mitten. And really, this should be Rudy’s crowd, it’s just that Rudy chose to skip it, I guess.

Here is a brief description of what happens with a Democrat Congress and a Democrat president:

1) Moderately liberal nominees who are vaguely pro-Choice for the 2 upcoming openings on the USSC. They will be extremely liberal and activist if the GOP loses > 5 seats this year in the Senate. But even if not, the nominees will be pro Choice and will be confirmed. The GOP will not be able to sustain a filibuster against a qualified jurist who is only vaguely pro Choice.

2) The tax rates are scheduled to rise sharply in 2010. A show will be made of holding them lower for income levels under $15K, but if you’re reading these words, you will get a sharp tax increase. You will also likely see some attempt to do a “one time fee” on your 401Ks and IRAs, to pay for the disastrous Bush years and health care for children.

3) There will be a new cabinet level Department of Health Care established to administer the administration of new Canadian-style national health care coverage.

4) To prevent another Virginia Tech disaster, explicit legislation at the federal level to restrict availability of handguns will be implemented. Additionally, federal legislation will be passed and signed that will allow gun crime victims to sue gun manufacturers.

5) The US military budget will be slashed. All troops in Iraq will be withdrawn and aid to the Iraqi government slashed. Additional troops will be sent to Afghanistan with no particular mission other than to “find bin Laden”.

6) Explicit federal legislation will be enacted requiring all financial benefits accruing to heterosexual marriage such as inheritance and spousal social security to be available to Gay civil unions.

That’s why you vote for the GOP nominee.
