Obviously you really haven’t listened to what Romney says.
Do you think the Democrats are saying, If Richardson (or Edwards, etc.) doesn’t get the nomination, I’m not voting Dem? I mean, really.
Any system that disenfranchises our soldiers must be changed if only for that reason.
Thompson sounded good. McCain complained about the health care and insurance companies. Romney won some brownie points with me by saying we had the best health care, and that the companies were not the bad guys here. He talked up the people and companies that take care of our health and alleviate pain. That resonates with me. I’m sick of blaming the private sector, be it oil, health, insurance, airlines or anything else. Huckabee played the “smart liberal” by providing the simplistic “answer” that we take care of health problems once they occur but do not maintain health. I’ve heard that one before - who hasn’t? If you want maintain your health, go for a walk or jog tomorrow. Don’t expect my tax dollars to do it for you.

“The way the primaries are run is way too mystified.”
Each state passes laws as to how their primaries will be run. You can do an internet search for “(any state) Secretary of State”, click on that and find a link to the election laws of that state. From there you can read how their primaries are run. The state legislature also determines, by passing law, what date their primaries will be held. Texas has their primary in March. The legislature tried to pass a bill this past year to move it up to the February date many states use. The bill failed so we still have it in March.

Looking through the links Josh Painter provided, it looks like Romney says a lot of stuff that not only isn't true, but Romney KNOWS it isn't true. It may be that enough people are gullible enough to slurp up everything Romney says to get him elected, but I don't think I want to be accused of being one of them.
Of course I do. I also know that Rep. Hunter is in no way able to overcome the hurdle he faces in getting the nomination this time.
Perhaps in 4 or 8 years, it will be his time, but for now, we must concentrate on the only true conservative that can win. That man is Fred.
