I must say kudos to this statement. Our soldiers were much maligned by this government for the supposed crime of routinely performing their duties as members of our armed services.. Such a disgrace.

Interesting reading material.

Way back in 1994 I decided that I might not always vote for the Republican candidate, but I'd never again vote for a Democrat. However, if it would come down to Obama versus Romney, I might have to change my mind on that. Obama is way out on the left fringe, but I think the country could survive four years of him as president the same way we survived Jimmy Carter.

I couldn't vote for somebody that seems as sleazy as Romney (short of being backed into a corner by Hillary being the Democrat nominee). Romney's only core principles seem to be that there are no limits to what you need to be willing to do to get elected. With Romney's willingness and ability to make up a history out of thin air, he reminds me a lot of Bill Clinton with his "It depends on what the meaning of is, is".

The really sad thing is that he seems to be just another Al Gore. In both cases, the main thing driving the run for the presidency seems to be some sort of need to try to make up for their feelings that their fathers were cheated out of their rightful place in history. Romney and Gore, fighting so hard to get elected, for no other reason than just to get elected. Exactly the opposite of Reagan, who did it to try to make the country and the world better.

It is shameful also the way our troops have been prosecuted for doing their job and the admin that sent them leaving them out to dry.

Checkers got it in 2571.

Is there a thread re the Dem debate? They are absolute sleep-inducers, they’re all zombies. Hillary at least is entertaining, the way she is zotting Obama with her eyes... Heehee.

Otherwise, an independent voter would choose the Republicans on energy alone. The Democrats have none.

I must say that when push comes to shove a conservative will vote the R ticket... The Dem party has not a whiff of conservatism in it.
No true conservative will put a Dem in the WH.... if you do shame on you.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I like Huckabee, but thought he didn’t do well.

I thought Fred won the debate, and if he had any chance of winning would be behind him all the way.

Ron Paul articulated his arguments well, but sounded like Johnny-One-Note — “No war, no war, no war.” I fear he is going to gain another three to five points.

Mitt sounded like he was on the defensive. Not good.

Rudy was just “okay.”

It seemed evident to me it really is true that McCain is the best qualified. He truly did have broader knowledge than the rest of the candidates. The problem is he is wrong on so many of them.

So, like I said, I am a Huckabee supporter. But Fred is the man. He truly is the only real conservative in the race.

"You don’t put anyone else at risk if you don’t want health insurance. You “risk” just your own."

Should you then be denied service if you can't afford it?

So you think all the liberals were right to support Bill Clinton and his corruption just because he wore the same letter on his jersey as they did?

I don't buy that.
