What I noticed more than that is as others mentioned — Giuliani basically parroted Thompson’s answers.
“I called the 800 number, pressed 1 for news. The guy tried to explain that Hunter didn’t make the criteria.
I told him that he is a nationally known candidate and that’s criteria enough.”
You gave him a great answer.
Everything Flipabee says is calculated for the effect it will have on voters.
Pretty much the same with Romney.
Fred is the one who is most genuinely thinking about the problems.
Fred Thompson - would not step in and do a windfall profits tax - the oil price is a result of supply and demand....we can demagogue the issue. Come on Fred - DRILL IN ANWAR!!!! YES USING THE OIL RESERVES WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTRY!!! Make it clear, Fred - drill in Anwar.
We want people refining that oil....we need for the oil to flow while we work our way into a more diversified situation.
Rudy - we have to take the energy problems on with the same energy as putting man on the moon - build refineries, build nuclear power plants......make it a major program, led by the President of the United States......good answer, Rudy.
Huck - If we untax the possibilities in innovations and technologies, put a billion bonus for first person to produce a 100 MPG car!!!!!! Good grief!
Huck - we have allowed the oil companies to dictate prices and policies. We must stop doing that.
NO WORD from Huck about drilling in Anwar.
Romney - at least mentioned how much corporations spent on Tort lawsuits vs. Research - good point.
NONE but Fred mentioned using the oil reserves we have in this country.
Huckster is all muddied up...not strong on economic topics...
