I for one am excited about Huckabee's leading and probably winning in Iowa! Here's a guy who has made REAL income tax reform a high priority of his candidacy. While some of the other candidates have claimed tax reform as part of their plan, non have been more passionate about the need for it and willing to make it a center-piece of their plan for America as Mike Huckabee. I believe that the average American has recognized in Mike Huckabee, a person of integrity and vision, a man who keeps his word, a man of faith, and therfore, is worthy of their support. He certainly has 100% of mine!
Color me angry at the idiocy of my evangelical friends.
I can’t believe this fraud has gotten this far, and I am ashamed at the gullibility of us as evangelicals. Hey, just say Jesus and vote for Huck, don’t pay any attention to that man behind the curtain that has a record contrary to what he says, says anything to be elected, and has true believers for voters.
Congrats, you have started the draft Elmer Gantry movement.
Please stoop to have sucker stamped on your foreheads.
BTTT.
The biggest problem is all those pardons. How do you get around that? We’re not talking exoneration by DNA testing. We’re talking about thinking you know better than juries on a massive scale.
Uh, no.
When someone goes from comparing people who violated our generous immigration laws to blacks brought here in chains and says that God has given us a second chance to get it right to saying no amnesty and seal the border it’s called a flipflop, pop.
“I want a President who believes in our sovereign country; believes in a strict interpretation of the Constitution, whose character and life is informed by faith, but who knows the difference in leading a nation and leading a congregation.”
Good post.
Maybe a President that understands what is necessary in order to keep our freedom to practice our faith alive?
Bwahahahaha!
Dumb, stupid mistakes. Misguided at very best and, sadly, fatal at worst. If he wants to be president I hope he has gained some perspective and some wisdom on this score. That’s why I need to know more.
ok webschooner, I call your bluff - show us the forum posts from 2005 that talk about the great Huckabee hunter.
Are you attending a Baptist college?
I assume that applies to McCain, Romney and Giuliani, too?
“I think when it looks as if Huckabee may end up winning the nomination, many of those attacking him will, begrudgingly, accept him.”
You are quite mistaken. Huckabee would lose all 50 states + D.C.
So was Jay Leno, so lets nominate him instead.
lol, wat? Are you sure you sent that to the right poster?
I believe that we are splitting hairs.
I am not a Huckabee supporter, but I am a defender.
“I dont know why hes gotten such hatred here.”
In state tuition for illegals.
Pardons of hardened criminals.
For starters.
Congratulations on your candidate winning in Iowa.
Huckabee has surged because he won a couple of debates and hes got evangelical support. If a quick rise can happen to the liberal pro-life evangelical Huckster, it can happen to the conservative pro-life evangelical Hunter.
I do not know Duncan Hunters strategy. However, he may yet surprise us even before New Hampshire. Because he has campaigned in Wyoming, which has a race before New Hampshire, and no one else is campaigning there.

Then theres New Hampshire. Hunters already there while everyone else wraps up in Iowa.
Go Mike!
Best wishes to Huckabee’s FReepers. Congratulations on a magnificent win!
The difference between his flip-flop and others is that I actually believe he will keep his word.
What is needed is more conservative judges appointed, which I believe Fred, a Federalist, would appoint. Liberals have pushed the envelope on abortion until a viable life is allowed to be snuffed out on the whim of a mother wo can't be bothered to have the baby and give it up for adoption. Congress has made laws curbing abortion, but lib judges keep ruling for ever more liberal abortions. Right now, I believe the abortion rate is falling from what I have heard.
The key is more conservative courts and congresscritters.
