I for one am excited about Huckabee's leading and probably winning in Iowa! Here's a guy who has made REAL income tax reform a high priority of his candidacy. While some of the other candidates have claimed tax reform as part of their plan, non have been more passionate about the need for it and willing to make it a center-piece of their plan for America as Mike Huckabee. I believe that the average American has recognized in Mike Huckabee, a person of integrity and vision, a man who keeps his word, a man of faith, and therfore, is worthy of their support. He certainly has 100% of mine!
“Comments like yours are disappointing. Apparently, you didnt comprehend the header for this thread. It said Huckabee supporters check in here.”
It’s funny that you Huckabee supporters had to start a thread soliciting positive comments about his win, as the vast majority of Freepers know the guy for what he is, a Huckster, and a liberal in sheep’s clothing, or wolf’s clothing would perhaps be more apt. The only way you could find more than one comment in a row that was complimentary to the Huckster was by starting a thread of your own. LOL. Enjoy your phyrric victory, brief that it will be.
At least, Huckabee seems to be serious now about securing the borders to some degree.
Well we are going to elect us a new one if he’s interested in moving south.:’)

“Ill tell you why Huck is disliked here....those of us who are Born Again Evangelical Christians and informed conservatives see him for what he is.....a reincarnation of Jimmy Carter....a Globalist....a RINO (Republican in Name Only)”
Worth repeating.

I for one will not be voting for Huckabee if he gets the nod. He is worse than Rudy Guiliani and is the Republican version of Obama.
What more can Republican/new media establishment do that they haven't already done?
I think when it looks as if Huckabee may end up winning the nomination, many of those attacking him will, begrudgingly, accept him.
Guess again. When I hear moderation from anyone with a ‘R’ after their name - they do not and will not get my vote
Why on earth don't you think Huckabee will win South Carolina? It and most of the south are very similar to Iowa.
You don't seem to grasp the fact that there is a likability and authenticity about Huckabee that connects with voters that makes him a very formidable candidate.
Huckabee, agree with him on the issues or not, was spectacular on Tonight Show last night. He is articulate, genuine and very funny.
What devalues these discussions, and this forum, is when people opine from ignorance.
I can show you a thread on a Hunting Forum from 2005, before he was even a candidate, where Arkansas duckhunters are all bragging about how great a guy he is to hunt with. I know the name of his hunting Labrador, and the name of the trainer he uses.
He said the truth when he said that normally at this time of the year he would be back home hunting geese instead of in Iowa hunting pheasant.
Now, call him a "liar," or me, whomever you choose to wish to discredit, and the discussion can end. God forbid, we should actually ever make up any ground in these talks!
The fact is I KNOW he is more pro-gun than ANY candidate in my lifetime, and that includes Dubya and LBJ! And that says a lot.

You can only get away with having your little party on our conservative site because your RINO Liberal candidate has an R after his name.
Just be forewarned, you are being wiretapped, watched, videotaped, and otherwise observed by bonafide conservatives, since you are celebrating a Liberal victory, in our living room.
How inconsiderate of you.
“The bulk of the Freepers fall into line with the establishment.”
Imagine that, Freepers have become the conservative establishment. The new sheeple — following the chattering classes into oblivion.
My, how times have changed around here. Let’s open the doors and let some fresh air blow the noxious fumes out of this place.
As a Religious Studies major as an undergrad, and a Theology student in grad school, I kind of think I am qualified to tell you -- they aren't the same.
Religious Studies is typically the study of religion, and there are hundreds of religions and an infinite number of types of religious experiences. Theology is the study of God, typically under the umbrella of one specific religion or academic discipline.
Further, Religious Studies can legally be offered at a state school, Theology cannot.
