Mike Huckabee supporters check in here.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:46:37 PM PST by Arcy

I for one am excited about Huckabee's leading and probably winning in Iowa! Here's a guy who has made REAL income tax reform a high priority of his candidacy. While some of the other candidates have claimed tax reform as part of their plan, non have been more passionate about the need for it and willing to make it a center-piece of their plan for America as Mike Huckabee. I believe that the average American has recognized in Mike Huckabee, a person of integrity and vision, a man who keeps his word, a man of faith, and therfore, is worthy of their support. He certainly has 100% of mine!

The establishment” has not given these two much support or attention. (speaking of Thompson and Hunter)

That's hog-wash. The media has tried on many occasions to interview Thompson. I heard an interview with him on Hannity yesterday where he came across as timid. He spent more time speaking generic than he did specifics. I suspect nothing more than good-ol-boy politics from Thompson. One of the other threads for Thompson actually has a picture of a red Chevrolet Pickup as if that is supposed to get me charged up for him. YEEEE HAAAW!

Yea he's a real hunter, not like Kerry. A real expert on muzzle discipline, just ask the reporters who were covering his bird hunt.

I wouldn't trust Huckabee to protect anyone's rights any farther than I could throw him, before he lost all that weight. Just what we need another big-government, socialist "Christian."

I like Mike too. I spent three hours with him one night in DC when he entertained FR’s Inauguration. He’s the real deal. The Country Club Pubs are all up in arms on FR. The nomination must be given to an entitled east coast educated elitist like GW Bush. I do believe Huck played the Who “Won’t Get Fooled Again” that noc.

I’m a defender of Huckabee, not yet a supporter. I want to hear more from him

Yeah, i guess that's kind of why I'm here. That and because my FRed Friends are beginning to annoy me, with rubbing in how Duncan Hunter is doing.

I know Mike Huckabee out side the political arena. He does very well speaking on his own.

Mike just needs better advisor's to keep him informed on current events.

Modelbreaker - could not agree with you more. Where does this ‘if you don’t like Mike, you must have some hatred’ thing come from? Wow. How about we just get back to real conservative values - to smaller govt (not $500mil in tax increases), controlled and patrolled borders, laws that put the bad guys away and keep them there - even if they do have a bedside conversion - etc. Just cause ‘Mike’ has an ‘R’ by his name, slings the word Christian around without rebuking his foul mouthed campaign manager - doesn’t mean I have to bow my knee at his alter. Ever.

Perfect: Preacher+Hope=Mike (Elmer Gantry) Huckleberry, the worst of the two worst presidents all mashed into one lame package.

This is sooooo lame. I guess Chaney shouldn’t be Vice-president either then.

In defense of Cheney, he didn't break any hunting rules. The guy he shot took full responsibility for getting shot because he broke an established rule. He went off in one direction and did not return from that direction, but instead circled around and ended up in a position where none of the hunters would have expected him to be walking.

Mike Huckabee has a degree in Religion, and two honorary Doctorate’s.

Do you not think that Religion and Theology is not the same?

“I’ve been disappointed with some of my fellow Freepers regarding Huckabee. If they have problems with some of his positions then fine, but some of the comments borderline on personal attacks, thereby breaking Reagan’s 10th commandment.”

Oh, you mean like the hateful attacks many Evangelicals have launched against Mitt Romney and his religion on the anti-Romney threads? That kind of disappointment?

Giuliani filed lawsuits on behalf of illegals as mayor of New York and McCain supported the Bush amnesty bill. In regard to illegal immigration, all three have poor records.

At least, Huckabee seems to be serious now about securing the borders to some degree.

How about a campaign manager wanting to ‘knock the teeth’ out of Romney? Hmmm. Some excellent thoughts by AmericanThinker ...
