Opposition leader Benazir Bhutto has been critically injured after a suspected suicide attack at a political rally in Pakistan.
It was believed to be a suicide attackShe is undergoing emergency surgery at a nearby hospital, Sky News sources say.
The explosion went off just after Ms Bhutto left the rally in Rawalpindi, minutes after her speech to thousands of people.
Guess you missed the part where he said he didn’t think Mushariff is behind this because he doesn’t benefit from any of this and it would cause him even more problems
True... that was what I heard from McCain as well. He is speaking again on campaign stump live on Fox
It’s too much to ask for, but, one could always hope that democrats are smart enough to see the play also, and throw hellery’s arse out in to the cold. Satan chose a fine one in her didn’t he?
Standing in foront of a group on Thorazine, She said: "Blahh-blahh-blahh. ME-me-me. I-I-I-I. Blahh-blahh-blahh-blahh".
If there was armed protection, apparently not enough. And the Pakistan government will bear the brunt of that anger.
Thanks for your post. This is going to get ugly.
Paramilitary - is that the ISI?
I hate that Chinese curse more and more these days.

McCain on telling what he would do if he were president at this time.
Saying nothing is not good. Especially when leaders of other countries have aready come forward hours ago and expressed condolences.
I disagree... leaving her under house arrest would have left her as a sitting duck.
Um, we are at Orange now...in the airline sector.
Why are you ducking? It’s been mentioned at least a dozen times in the thread. It’s not any great secret. The best you’re ever going to do in that part of the world is the lesser of an assortment of evils.
Sorry ... I misread your post
OK fox, John is done with the canned statement and is now into his stump speech ..drop coverage.
I’m talking about the rest of the country..
You said — “Sure is taking Musharaf a long time to make a statement.”
It was reported in the news that Musharaff was sitting quietly at the bedside of Bhutto (I suppose after she died). And also, it has already been announced that Musharaff was going on the air, at an announced and scheduled time, to make a national announcement.
Also, keep in mind, that Bhutto trusted Musharaff enough to supply him (in person) a list of people whom she had concerns about trying to do her harm. It’s clear that she thought he could do something about them.

About all I know is:
1. Musharraf is an ally of the US in terms of fighting extremists and maintaining security over nuclear assets
2. Al Qaida blows up everyone there, regardless of political party.
3. Bhutto was the opposition party leader about to run against Musharraf.
4. Lots of brainwashing madrassas in Pakistan
who the hell is on whos side over there??
No problem, totally understandable with all the names being so similar over there ..plus I figured that was the case.
