True enough. As a college student, I spent part of one summer there (northern Arizona) participating in geological work to see how best to describe moon geology, landscapes, rocks, etc. We pretended we were astronauts and had only so much time to complete tasks. Sometimes future moon astronauts joined us and we got to meet and work with renowned earth scientists.
Coulda saved a lot of time and money and just asked me.
:-)
It seems that Al Gore, the Democrats and their liberal news media allies have reduced science to the level where it was during the 1930's in the Soviet Union.

What do you do that your employer feels it necessary to waste money and time (money) on such non-essential training? I have to do so much dang training for my job that is directly job related, there isn’t time to do any other silliness.

Yes, very interesting.
But there are better reasons for “going Green than supposed “global warming” — namely, to get us to quit sucking off the giant ME oil teat that keeps getting Muslim world richer & more powerful. I love solar power because it will eventually let us tell the Saudis to go pound sand, because we don’t need them or their oil anymore!
Is that a joke? Of course there are.
There are people who believe in all seriousness that aliens from another planet traveled across the entire galaxy, found us, and stopped to build large piles of stone for no apparent reason and then left without any other trace.

I think we all owe Sen. Tom Coburn a thank you for his work on the Senate Environmental Committee. He has to put up with this junk on a daily basis.
...
The 2nd thing is in the realm of “believability”, in that it’s a historical story.
But the spherical nature of the earth is an observable fact.
...and socialists and hippies.
More serious than the other one - there are a few - but still quite a bit to take seriously.
Well DAH!
Spoken affectionately of course. ; )
We probably do owe Sen. Coburn a thank you but Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.)is the one on the environmental commitee {Senate Environment and Public Works Committee}. see http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Members.Home
Thanks Reform Canada.

It has ALWAYS been about getting people to behave the way the watermelons want.
Great report!
Good question. I am accounting manager for a lumber company. The CEO is heavily invested in the idea of sustainability. He wants our corporate culture to reflect that idea. Hence, all of us present at corporate headquarters when the presentation started were instructed to sit in. I am on board with the bosses ideas on responsible forest stewardship but I wish he would draw the line at the kind of hogwash we were fed today.
