How long will it take Arabs to destroy it and then claim it never existed?

Muzzies won’t like this. Expect them to increase the volume of their caterwauling if Israel starts further excavation in the area.

was dated to the end of the Second Temple Period by pottery and stone vessels, as well as an assortment of coins from that timeYou know, it really was nice of ancient peoples to leave coins and pottery shards laying around for us to find.
probably a palace built by Queen Helena, a wealthy Iraqi aristocrat who converted to Judaism and moved to Jerusalem with her sons.
Iraqi?? Can you say "anachronism"?

“the Dung Gate”
Perhaps this just doesn’t translate well! Can someone explain?

Yes, and I can also say “Wikipedia”, which, literally translated, means “take with a grain of salt”.

The Dung Gate was one of the 12 or so gates that existed at the time of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 3:14). It was located at the southwest corner of the wall, and used for the disposal of garbage and dung. It led out to the Valley Of Hinnom.
