I would like to know if you are going to vote in the November 2008 election even if your candidate does not win. Will you stay home if you don't like the Republican candidate?
Another thing that I have often wondered about is whether people actually stay home when they are disheartened. News commentators often say that some voters may have decided to stay home because they were not happy with the candidates. I think that is a mistake because even if you do not like the person at the top of the ticket you should at least vote for the other candidates. Have you every actually stayed home and not gone to the polls at all because you were not happy with a candidate?
*BUMP* to that. No to Rudy, no to Precious Willard, no to Huckster, no to McNut and no to Ron Prawn.
You’re proud of that? Helping someone like Hillary become Commander in Chief?
That accomplishes exactly what?
Even if you are correct that a Rudy presidency is not a whole lot better than a Hildy presidency, it is better.
Even if it is just a little better, it is worth doing for the country, for our troops, for our future.
“No, the lesson hasnt been learned.
I am very strongly pro-life. However, if pro-abortion Rudy wins the nomination, I will vote for him. At that point, well have only two choicesRudy or Hillary. I will do nothing that might help the PIAPS and Bubba get back into the White House.”
That’s because you are SANE and MATURE.
==> “As I have asked.......HOW? (...is Rudy better than Hillary...) “ <==
In just a few, critical words; respect for the military. In other words, (with apologies in advance for my temerity) SHUT UP AND VOTE!
Fishrrman, read post 357 about checking our principals at the door. Thanks again stockstrader for the reminder.
If it is the SOB (per you) we do not like as our nominee, it really would depend on who the SOB had on his ticket.
As some of the freepers who would bash some for not supporting Rudy, are the same who are saying they would support anyone but Paul too cheers. Double standard? So therefore, Hillary still wins.
Fish, also read 352 by E/T. He has a quote from Rudy on Hillary. One and the same.
As I wrote before, we have some time, little time, to make sure Rudy is not our SOB nomination.
Well, that’s a brilliant and effective plan. Just like the one that brought us eight years of the Klintoons the first time.
Yeah, that helped the country a lot.
I’ll vote in November no matter who wins the nomination.
But I won’t vote for Mr. Giuliani for president, even should he win the nomination. I’ll vote third party. I probably will do that if Mr. Romney takes the nomination, too.
Don’t forget about the popular vote. Your vote is always important there.
?
We can't afford to elect Rudy as Commander in Chief. This world is too dangerous right now. A president Rudy would just humiiliate our country. Just as he was unable to gain the respect of New York's first-responders, he will be unable to gain the respect of our troops.
He is an adulterous, draft-dodging coward who supports abortion, gun control and open borders. He is a man without honor. He has been habitually dishonest. Even his children won't support him.
As I could not ask our troops to salute him, the only honorable thing to do is to vote AGAINST him.
I will crawl over broken glass to vote against Hillary. She would have a 60 seat senate and 3 SCOTUS appointments. She must be stopped.
Probably will. but still another years to go.
“Aye. Allowing Hillary to win is a betrayal to our armed forces. Personal reasons must be set aside, no matter how difficult that may be.”
YEP
I appreciate your passion, and agree with your pro-life stance, but please prayerfully consider this: if you do NOT vote against Hillary and the Party of Death (by voting FOR the Republican nominee, whoever he is), you will be responsible for helping her get elected.
No way around it.
The Rats are much, much, much worse for the cause of life in this country, period. Anything that enables them to come to power makes the enablers responsible for their actions.
If the GOP candidate is Rudy McRomney, I will vote 3rd party. Otherwise, I will vote GOP.
Either way, I will definitely NOT stay home.
Vote for your “true love” candidate in the primary. That is all you can do. However, if he doesn’t win, then you have some other choices to make. As I said, I am voting for Duncan Hunter regardless of the shadow of Hillary Clinton. I believe that a good conservative who articulates his basic American values can beat Hillary Clinton even if he doesn’t have the name recognition. Whoever wins the Republican nomination will get instant name recognition regardless of whether he was well known or not. Then he can start telling the nation about himself and letting people get more familiar with his background and beliefs.
The election is about the fate of the nation, not the fate of the party.
Let the Republican party take care of itself. If it dies, so what? If there truly is a conservative movement in America, it will emerge in a different vehicle.
In the meantime, in the name of “saving” the Republican party, you would be sacrificing the country.
Not worth it. Not by a long shot.
Nor is it an effective approach. A whole bunch of people took exactly your tack in 1992. What did it gain? Eight years of the Klintoons and it opened the door to whatzherface running for national office, something we’d never be facing if those two had been sent back to Arkansas at that time.
Hate to tell you, you’re wasting your effort. Some folks around here are already accusing those of us who have a realistic vision of the country’s political process of being trolls from the DUmp. Sadly, it’s 1992 all over again.
Agreed, and with emphasis! Sorry, I had misread your post to read something quite the opposite. My bad!
But you’d sit on your high horse while failing to do all in your power to stop the Rats?
How moral.
