In another sign of Rep. Ron Paul's online fundraising prowess, the Republican presidential candidate from Texas said in a TV interview Friday that he has raised more than $9 million during the past two months and expects to raise a total of at least $12 million for the fourth quarter.
Paul, speaking on Bloomberg Television's "Political Capital with Al Hunt," said he considers his recent fundraising success "astounding."
He added that his campaign plans another "special" fundraising day Dec. 16. On Nov. 5, Paul supporters raised $4.3 million, one of the biggest single-day showings of any candidate in history.

I don’t think the word “Illegal” has ever stopped Paul supporters...
Paul still came in 3rd in a poll restricted to past GOP convention delegates.
How many other straw polls have Hunter won?
Not surprising when you couple it with the heavy anti-Hillary animus that I see around here. Never underestimate the proclivity of the Washington voter (dead or alive) to squander their vote...
A truther’s letter to DailyKOS users to get them to support Ron Paul:
“If we want to get a Democrat in the White House next year, we need a divided Republican party. The only candidate on the enemy’s side disrupting neo-con group-think is Ron Paul. If we donate to him on the 16th of Dec. and attempt to support him in the primaries, he can force Mr. 9/11 on the defensive and make him spend much more money to win the primaries. His fundraising is surging, and his poll numbers are trending upward. He clearly has some momentum, and that’s scaring the pants off the neo-con establishment.
Divide and conquer the Republican party my friends! Donate money to Ron Paul on the 16th of December and register Republican for the primaries to vote Paul, then back to Democrat afterwards. This will accomplish many things:
1. It will divide the party further and create an ideological insurgency within the party.
2. It will show our Democratic front runners that being anti-war is a winning issue this year, we don’t have to be neo-con-lite like Hillary to win. We don’t need to stay in Iraq till 2013.
3. It will dry up the resources of Republican frontrunners and weaken their support for neo-con issues like invasion of privacy, torture, the war, and more.
4. It will completely scare the crap out of the party establishment, and they’ll likely go into crisis mode to stop Paul.”
Ron Paul gets support from many segments of society: Conspiracy Theorists, Racist Neo-nazis, Liberals, Democrats, Greens, Libertarians...He just can’t get support from REPUBLICANS.
Ron Paul will not “win” in the traditional sense (ie getting sworn into office as POTUS) but he can score a bigger win by slapping statists and populists in the GOP around for amusement.
This kind of cash insures that he will be there for the duration to do just that.
Just having some fun.
Exactly. Paul's support is from the left. A recent polled asked who would Republicans never support under any circumstance. Paul scored highest with 61%.
According to this recent CNN Poll, Paul has the highest negatives,
Question: Would you consider supporting Ron Paul for the republican nomination or would you not support him for the nomination under any circumstances? Ron Paul 61%

Come on folks! I just hate seeing Dems get what they want!!
OK. If that's true and you want to put a quick end to Ron Paul, just go on these forums and start praising Paul for being pro-life, pro-borders and US sovereignty, anti-tax, anti-global warming hysteria and anti Gubmint entitlement programs.
All of those "loons" will run for the hills and he will have zero support. Go to work. Let us know how it works out.
See above. Tell the leftists about his right wing nutty libertarian limited government views. Scream it from the highest rooftops and praise him.
Watch them desert like rats on a sinking ship.
There are signs like that all over rural Louisiana too. He may be a Perot-type factor within the Republican primaries.
One of the funny things about a Paul nomination would be to see GWB, Cheney, and the others endorsing their favorite HRC!
If Paul’s support is so broad based that it can raise this sort of money without tapping Soros type fat cats, how it that this supposed “wide spread” support is not being reflected in any of the polling data?
How many has Ron won? Quite a few, I must admit. Who wouldn't with all that left support? These are a few of Hunters wins, and someone else may know of others.

Ron Paul has never produced one piece of effective legislation that did anything to control illegal immigration. In fact Paul has never gotten any of his legislation through the process. Ever. He has NO support or endorsement from his congressional colleagues. His claim of small government is just that, nothing but a claim.
Ron Paul has proved he cant govern. He has a zero record of accomplishments, except for pushing 1876 bills others wrote through congress. Small government guy?
Just for comparison of actual accomplishments in congress:
Sponsored means he wrote or introduced the bill. Co sponsors sign on to other bills written by someone else.
Statistics: Duncan Hunter has sponsored 105 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 72 havent made it out of committee (Average)
and 10 were successfully enacted (Good, relative to peers).
Hunter has co-sponsored 894 bills during the same time period (Average, relative to peers).
Now take a look at Ron Paul, who claims many accomplishments and would never vote for any frivolous, unconstitutional bill!
Statistics: Ronald Paul has sponsored 346 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 341 havent made it out of committee (Extremely Poor) and 0 were successfully enacted .(Average, relative to peers).
Paul has co-sponsored 1876 bills during the same time period (Average, relative to peers)
NOTE: 1876 bills, written by other congress members. All constitutional ? You decide.
