I don’t worry about how much money he raises, or even where it is coming from. Many of Paul’s ideas will never fly with the vast majority of conservatives, and money won’t change that.

Exactly. Paul's support is from the left. A recent polled asked who would Republicans never support under any circumstance. Paul scored highest with 61%.

According to this recent CNN Poll, Paul has the highest negatives,

Question: “Would you consider supporting Ron Paul for the republican nomination or would you not support him for the nomination under any circumstances?” Ron Paul 61%

One of the funny things about a Paul nomination would be to see GWB, Cheney, and the others endorsing their favorite HRC!
