Newt Gingrich called in to Sean Hannity's radio program to discuss Hillary Clinton's debate performance.
Highlights:
“Her performance in that debate was so bad, on issues that matter so much, she may not be able to recover from it… This issue of Spitzer trying to give out driver's licenses to people at a time when your driver’s license allows you to vote — for her to trap herself into saying that creates a big wound…
The fact that she said she’s basically sympathetic with Rangel’s trillion-dollar-tax increase — that’s going to arouse some deep opposition. The huge Democratic tax increase allowed us to win in 1994… Then, I saw in a ticker on Fox News, when Sen. Edwards said nominating her would be ‘a victory for a corruption machine’… it brings back a lot of memories of the Chinese funding scandals of 1996… It takes her winning the nomination from an 80 percent likelihood to a 50 percent. It’s even money. If she doesn’t turn this around quick, I may have to call back in and take it even lower.”
Newt wants senators to try to get an amendment on a bill banning states from offering driver’s licenses to those who are in the country illegally.
Exactly. I hope the Republican contenders really hammer these points. By starting now, they can refine the message and be ready for the general election campaign, whoever our nominee is.

Hillary has the biggest, best paid political machine in the Country. She also has the advantage of the greatest visibility. Finally, the creatures opposing her are political mediocrities.
Hillary will be the opponent we will be facing in 2008.

After just this first debate I’m beginning to feel like she’s a member of some mafia or something who will be involved in enormous payoffs, bribes and scandals like we have never seen.

John Edwards is such a light weight. Remember his debate against Dick Cheney? I keep hearing about what a wonderful speaker he is but I don’t see it. If its Silky Pony the Dums are done.
Edwards is looking better and better by default.
I am thinking the same thing. He is such an empty suit. I thought it was great when he was bashing Hil about all the money she takes from lobbyist. I guess taking money from trail lawyers is just peachy in his view.
I really think this Dem convention is going to get really ugly.

Newt Gingrich’s political predictions can often be just as annoying as Dick Morris’s political predictions. It’s amazing how many people know exactly what’s going to happen on November 4, 2008, but their predictions are completely different from one another.
That really concerns me. There was a poll last week that had Gore beating every candidate by 8-10 points. That is some scary stuff.
I can only imagine how hard Hitlery will go down swinging. She is like the scene in every horror movie, when the hot teen girl finally thinks she has killed the monster so she sits on a log with her back to the monster to cry. The monster slowly stands up covered in its victims blood.
That monster will be Hillary. You can pump holes in her all day but she just will not stay down!
I think her campaign made a big blunder when they used the "The guys ganged up on her" routine. IF (a big one), the Pubbies were on the ball, they'd be asking what Hillary would do when the world's politicians "ganged up on her" over some policy or incident. Typical feminist hypocrisy - we want equality but when we're in hot water, yell about being"ganged up on".

Maybe that’s the only way Hill-Billee thinks they can win is by allowing illegals to get driver licenses in order to be able to vote for Hillary in the primaries and the general election.
Hillary is courting the illegal “immigrants’ vote by supporting allowing them driver licenses [and thus voter registration], while at the same time making the rest of us confused about what her actual position is on this issue. She obfuscates in the debate, and then panders to the illegals the next day by saying that she supports Spitzer. She hopes to have it both ways, as always, and the MSM will not utter a word about her inconsistency.
If Gore decides to run, you know that Hillary will not go quietly. And she has a significant election machine already in place. And they don’t like each other.

There would be lots of Dem casualties. Once the smoke clears, the Republican nominee can finish off the winner of the Dem primary.
