Keep your hopes up, mine were way up as I handed out Lazio literature the day before the election. Of course, two days later I crashed in defeat, but, HEY, my hopes were up till then. I watched woman, and men, defend her support her and fight for her.......BECAUSE she was a victim.

Immigration is the issue Republicans can win on, if they take it seriously. Tax increases too.

I like and support W. but he overspends and completely dropped the ball on immigration reforms and protecting our borders which should be relatively easy as compared with reforming social seucurity.

By no stretch of the imagination can Hillary be called the underdog, no matter how mean the big, bad boys are to her.

What worked in the NY senatorial campaign won’t work in a general election for POTUS. The Senate is full of whiny babies (Harry Reid, anyone?) and nobody cares much because Senators are only one of a hundred and don’t make crucial decisions on their own. Not so with POTUS. The ability to take a punch and punch back without flinching is vital, and by pushing the “you can’t hit a girl” garbage Hillary is proving what many people already suspect, that being an abrasive, overbearing, nakedly ambitious harpy doesn’t substitute for real strength and competence.

Its amazing that Hill and Obama are so politically deaf that they both have mired themselves into a position of supporting Dl’s for illegals.

How can some one this dumb possibly win the nomination?

I would have agreed with you until this week.

Richardson is doing a fine job of painting himself as a nut by declaring that the Gov is covering up the UFO crash at Roswell

Intellectual people may be entirely like that and think like you.......however, does that really describe the average American voter? Or potential voter? I have a healthy fear of Hillary. It would serve us well to take her seriously.

From the NY Post today:

...Karen Thalacker, a political activist in Iowa, which holds the nation's first caucuses, decided to back Sen. Chris Dodd's campaign after watching him slam Clinton on the issue in Tuesday's debate.

Thalacker turned down a Clinton-campaign request to introduce the former first lady at an event next Monday.

"The way she answered the questions were 'I was for it until I was against it for people who are on the fence,' that sort of answer confirms how they feel about her," Thalacker said.

Clinton's handling of the issue also drew fire from New York Democrats who would normally be backing her "favorite daughter" candidacy.

"Until she takes a stand [against Spitzer's plan], I certainly wont be supporting her," said Long Island Assemblywoman Ginny Fields.

"If she's going to stay with that kind of attitude, it's the beginning of the end."

One New York state Senate Democrat, asking for anonymity, said senators warned Spitzer in a recent closed-door meeting that the timing of his plan could cause Hillary agita. (cont.)

And agita it has caused…poor Mrs. Clinton. Seems like even the Dems are turning against her.

The Truth Is Out There [Domenico Montanaro, MSNBC]: “Richardson, the governor of New Mexico, called on the government to declassify all Roswell documents. He brought it up himself when Chris Matthews was joking about Kucinich’s UFO answer. He said the government hasn’t ‘come clean’ on the issue.”

If she doesn’t turn this around quick, I may have to call back in and take it even lower.

Can't turn something around that "is" what it "is". Problem is the garbage pile that believe in her are totally brain dead or just to sick to really take a look at this loon.

I take her very seriously. The concern should be proportional to the threat, and the threat to the Republic if she becomes POTUS is great.

But she is not, as some on this forum posit, invincible. She has eminently exploitable weaknesses and few real strengths. Her biggest strength is the organization that she and Bill (mostly Bill) have put together over decades. That organization has protected her and given her the aura of invincibility which has gotten her to this point, but she can’t hide behind it forever, as the debate showed. Crack that armor, and she has very little left. She’s corrupt, rigid, inexperienced, unlikeable, her ideas are out of the mainstream, she has an offputting air of entitlement, and most of all she’s angry. Very angry. The only thing Hillary has going for her is her campaign organization, which is unparalled in scope. But get her out from under her handlers, and she’s clearly out of her depth.

And while most people probably won’t articulate why they’re uncomfortable with her in the intellectual way I have done, they feel that there is just something not right about her. Her 50% negatives attest to that. Even most devout libs don’t like her, but they support her because they believe she can win. Take away that aura of invincibility, and Hillary folds like a house of cards.

the vulnerabilites inherent to Hillary Clinton revealed themselves to everybody in this last debate.

Especially to the Democratic ‘base’.

Its a good thing Americans got that much needed reminder.

Newt’s kidding himself

We have a winner!!

Come on Newt, get real. She has 3 months to get the media, and a full year to get the sheeple, back to her side. I have no doubt her "troubles" are all part of the plan to make her the victim of the mean old conservatives.
