Only the anti-Mormons could try to portray one of the most conservative universities in the US as liberal. LOL.
I was speaking of the Koran.
No I did not. If it’s true, I still won’t worship Allah.
The run has been a good way to expose a very worthy man, his life and what he has to offer. But this time round, the force just doesn't seem to be with him.
Maybe I'm wrong, and I'm not a betting person but this is how it looks 100 days out.
He was a fallen angel, I am not aruging that the Mormon beliefs aren’t a little goofy, if you look at all of the man made churches, they are all that way in one form or another. My point is, it doesn’t matter where you go to church, it is a personal relationship with Christ that count. Many people were born into the Mormon church, for them it is a place to worship God and his Son Jesus, but it is also a way of life and about family for them too. I admire their history as patriotic Americans and as Pioneers. I won’t ever down play them as a group, they are as good as any religious group can get, I don’t understand why other patriotic Americans would want to knock them. It seems petty and off key.
I agree whole heartedly!
Even in the LDS organization, there are SAVED people, in spite of all the hoops they are made to jump through.
Pardon me, but the things you write here tend to make me believe that you are either crazy, viscious or stupid. I am uncertain as to the truth of the matter, at this point.
Have you been looking in the mirror again?
I can't help but wonder how you would have reacted to Peter asking the early saints to not only give 10 percent, but to give everything they had, all things in common. The saints sold everything and gave it to Peter, head of the Church, who then distributed according to the needs of the whole. God even killed those who withheld from Him, and Peter prophesied it would happen. (Acts 4:32 through Acts 5:11)
Do you think you would have had the same attitude about a mere tithe had you lived then? Or would that have been hell as well? Just a thought...
Oh, and no one is expecting perfect performance, that's impossible. Christ has asked us to try though.
Matt. 5: 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Cheers
You sure messed up a good song, I use to roller skate to it.

I wish I could member which of the churches I looked at recited something with that phrase in it every week. It was part of their creed.
(we are looking at close to a half century ago when I encountered this)
Basic response to your point: God gave man and angel free will.
++++++++++++++++++++
Two things.
1.What he said and how he said it sound like the endless bantering from many those who tell us we are wrong.
2.You say that “God gave man and angel free will.”
There are churches out there who say that God chooses who he will give the ability to have faith, and who he will not give the ability to have faith. Only those He gives faith to will be saved and man can do nothing about it. They say there Christian. Do you think they are?
I didnt think so.
+++++++++++++++++
I will.
As a person with one of the depressive illnesses, I know how people deal with this kind of illness. There is bassicly two ways to handle the problem, self medicate with alcohol or illegal drugs, or go to the doctor and get the afor mentioned medication. Given that most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints do not drink alcohol or use illegal drugs we use doctor prescribed medicines.
Does the LDS organization have a suicide helpline?
Does it have any programs ongoing to deal with this statewide problem?
+++++++++++++++++
yes and yes, I have used them.

I got one when I was in Turkey. It did not have the original Arabic next to the translation, so it was not an authorized copy. From what the people I knew said, there are groups that interpret the writings differently. Kinda reminded me of how the different churched view the bible.
23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ye that work iniquity
not
ye that work
see the difference?
I disagree with this part of what you wrote. If you are talking about Calvinists, Augustinians they do not say that man can do nothing about it. You are oversimplifying the perspective . . . let's both read Augustine and talk in a month . . . if you are willing. Man can act, as called by God, to help bring others to Christ. Man participates in the church once called. Through prayer for others we can also participate in God's work. For example, Augustine's mother prayed incessantly for him to be saved and Augustine credited this with his calling! Work that into your thinking. Man has free will AND is called by God. This is a mystery that you are trying to work into human terms as a debating point.
There is a better way than going to the Doctor. Go to the Lord in humility and Don't Fret!
Dr. Scott has a wonderful sermon Psalm 37: How to keep from Fretting
Yeah, I know modern science tells you it is a chemical imbalance, but the Good Book has all the prescription you need for emotional pain - -if you put your faith in Him and it. I'm pryaing for you fproy. Turn it over to God, then let it go.
Roy, Roy, bo-boy,
Banana-fana fo-foy
Fee-fi-mo-moy
Roy!
By their fruits ye shall know them.
I’m not inclined to cut them any slack right now.
As am member of a church that says it is the only true church I have continued to study the truth of that statement.
I am NOT a member of a church that claims that only it has a firm grasp of truth.
I would NOT be a member of a church that said that.

You see, to me , “if you do not believe you are correct, you are correct in that belief”.
