Ted Rall: Bush 'Viciously Murdered' U.S. Soldiers; Death of 'Idiot' Soldiers Raises U.S. IQ
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

I don't normally follow Ted Rall's work. But when J.M., a member of our military serving in Iraq, wrote NB about Rall's recent column and cartoon, I had a look. I'd say our soldier was being restrained in describing Rall's work as "particularly offensive."

I'm displaying one panel from his cartoon of October 22nd. You can view the whole of it here. As you'll note, the point is to celebrate the death of our soldiers, since they are "idiots" whose removal from the gene pool causes the average IQ back home to soar.

His column of October 23rd, "HEY, SOLDIERS: QUIT WHINING!", which you can read here, contains these nuggets:

Truman "murdered" ten times as many Americans in Korea in 30 months as Bush "murdered" in Iraq in 30 months.

30,000 Americans died in Korea in 30 months (i.e., while Truman was still president).

3,000 Americans died in the first 6 weeks of Truman's Korean War.

And Truman would not have needed to send those men to rewin South Korea's freedom, if he would have kept troops in S Korea for a longer time after WWII.

South Korea was young and unstable when Truman withdrew our troops in 1949.

Truman deliberately left South Korea with a weak military.

Liberals need to be reminded that, when Truman got us involved in the Korean War, he said he was sending men to fight a "police action" against "bandits." (The President’s News Conference of June 29, 1950 )

And Truman imposed the severest censorship in memory and ramped up the draft in order to keep his war going.

In summary, Bush's Iraq War differs from Truman's Korean War in these ways

We have a Republican president
We have 1/10 the death rate
We have very little press censorship
We have a hostile press
We have no military draft

You know, he doesn’t even realize that the very people he is insulting are the reason that he can publicly display his monumental stupidity. And he never will get it.

Of course, Harry Reid will send a letter to Rall’s boss as well.

That's a really great point. Will Dingy send a letter to Pinch demanding Rall apologize? If he gets grief he can say he just wanted to raise more money for the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation Inc.

Smells like treason. Trial, conviction, execution.

He makes it obvious that he is still seething over the Bush win of 2000. What this wimp needs to do is witness a 16yr old girl get hung in Tehran, a woman get stoned to death, a beheading and after he is through vomiting and defecating in his pants he may finally get it right.

Yeah he’s a sick bastard, but guess what.

His hatred is the same that is in most liberals in this country.

Most liberals have a slightly diluted version of his poison, but it’s the same poison. They can’t talk about the war in Iraq without mentioning how Pres. Bush “killed 3000 Americans.”

More and more liberals are being drawn further to the Left by their own hatred.

Rall is exhibit “A” in the ongoing case against the media-industrial complex. We can see that he is a nihilistic, repulsive little swine but how many know that he is also a major mover and shaker to media insiders, a trend-setter and minor celebrity to other media beasts? He is very popular among media professionals. This, not reader-appeal, is the real reason his idiocy is published in so many outlets.

Remember: The media-industrial complex of today is no more the free press of the Founding Fathers than was Goebbels’s propaganda ministry.

They are about the accretion and exercise of power and wealth, not the free exchange of information and ideas.

Professional media will not disappear, of course, nor should they, but the arrogant media culture’s reign as a de facto shadow government is almost at an end.

The other day, a sputtering, hysterical left-tool demanded to know if I wanted establishment journalists rounded up and shot, Stalin-style.

I said of course not, I just want them reduced to begging outside porn theaters and turning tricks in dark alleys for a living, while a genuinely free and ethical press gets on with the job of informing, rather than manipulating, the people.

Goebbels has been dead a long time. It is time to bury his legacy, “advocacy journalism,” with him

Orson Scott Card: Phony Soldiers and Patriotism
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1915219/posts
(snip)
The biggest lie in this little flap about Limbaugh is not what they say about Limbaugh. It’s their pretense that they actually care about American soldiers.

They don’t care. Give me a break. Most of these Smart People are so filled with bile about the military that when they actually meet a soldier in uniform they are revolted or frightened or angry.

Nobody that they know ever enlists in the military. Since patriotism doesn’t exist in their social circles, they have to invent other motivations for people to become soldiers.

It’s like science fiction to them. Soldiers are an alien species. These people must love violence, that’s what it is. Or they’re such losers they can’t think of another career. Or they’re bullies. Or simply stupid, so that recruiters can trick them.

The nazi propagandist Julius Streicher was tried at Nuremberg and lawfully hanged for inciting genocide.

I don’t believe that Rall’s “work” is qualitatively any different, since its clear purpose is to incite the killing of American soldiers and, ultimately, to bring about the destruction of Israel through unfettered Islamic terrorism.
His cartooning style even resembles Streicher’s.

Remember old Julius, Ted. Follow his path, share his fate.

The only way to get through to a guy like Rall is through a good beating, preferably by those he chooses to insult.

These kind of unpatriotic weasels make my blood boil !

Well said.

Funny how so many, even among our own, believe that it is a zero sum game. Either we go along to get along with the vile enemy sympathizing black propaganda of our current msm, or we go all out police state.

The idea that people in positions of power and influence should be held to actual account for word and deed has become a completely alien concept to so many. And that cuts right across the political divide.

The quote: “Treason doth never prosper: what’s the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason.”

Remove treason and insert dishonor, treachery, betrayal, deceit, etc etc and it still works and still applies to this day and age.

What a weak, pathetic, little man.

I wonder how a man can live without nads? If he was born with any he would go to a moo-slime country and do his schtick.

Agreed.

The US today is too “comfortable” and soft. I am all for questioning government actions/ridicule but outright treason which Rall spews should be met with punishment. Free speech stops when you enable the enemy that is trying to kill US soldiers, Rall is a propagandist not a one who posses the ability of constructive criticism.

South Korea has done very well.

ROK's success seems especially amazing when we realize that, before 1950, North Korea provided about 90% of the energy in the entire Korean Peninsula due to its abundant coal and hydro power.
