Chuck Norris Endorses Mike Huckabee for President
fox ^ | 10/22/2007 | CN

Posted on 10/22/2007 1:38:01 PM PDT by shbox

Chuck Norris does not vote for president of the United States. He gives the voting machine a swift roundhouse kick and Mike Huckabee wins.

So the joke would read after the martial arts star announced his endorsement Sunday for the former Arkansas governor.

"Though (Rudy) Giuliani might be savvy enough to lead people, Fred Thompson wise enough to wade through the tides of politics, (John) McCain tough enough to fight terrorism, and (Mitt) Romney business-minded enough to grow our economy, I believe the only one who has all of the characteristics to lead America forward into the future is ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee," Chuck Norris wrote in a commentary posted on WorldNetDaily.com.

Click here to read Chuck Norris’ commentary.

Norris listed Huckabee’s upbringing, family values and the fact that he’s an avid outdoorsman as reasons for backing.

Don’t know why your comment was so important that you had to post it 4 times. But I highly doubt Chuck Norris would EVER endorse an idiot like Ron Paul. He is, after all, an honorary Marine...that’s not an honor the Corps gives to just anyone.

Was the $5.25 per day tax on all Nursing Home Patients not on Medicare, the part that cinched him being your pick?

Last I checked, Governors don't tend to either draft, nor pass legislation.

No, no, no..you mistake my point (..what I am saying..).

I was trying to equate those who criticize Huckabee for not being truthful (or for ‘flip-flopping’ in effect), and ARE Romneyiacs have NOTHING to sing about since their guy is 10X Worse for previously holding liberal positions so they have NO grounds to Criticise Mr. Huckabee!..

On the otherhand I ~never~ said (or even Meant to imply) that all who criticise Huckabee are ROMNEY supporters?

Don’t claim I made a fallacy, when you mis-read my post..

I wonder who David Hasselhoff will endorse?

I believe this is your answer:

"Burger King for President!"

Thanks, that is a much better picture of the Hoff.

I am thinking of starting a rumor that the Hoff is going to run for Governor of California,.

I think he would win.

But, again I don’t see him running.

You don't "see" him because the "leaders" of our party, and the media gatekeepers, don't want you to "see" him.

A 'gay' guide to GOP candidates

Excerpt:

In sixth place is Mike Huckabee.

"He has told reporters that he is open to state-sponsored civil unions that would bestow the legal rights of marriage on gay and lesbian couples," says the report.

It strikes me that Huckabee is trying to be everything to everyone. Didn't we have enough of that with the election of another Arkansas governor by the name of Bill Clinton?

The other candidates vying for the GOP nomination could all be safely described as open, unadulterated opponents of the homosexual agenda, according to both Salon and my own research. They are: Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, Sam Brownback and Alan Keyes.

It seems to me homosexual activists have more choices among the Republican candidates than do traditional Republicans.

/excerpt

------------------------------------------------------

And what happens with state-sponsored civil unions?

In the United States, courts often must determine who the legal parents are among the many adults who might be involved in planning, conceiving, birthing, and raising a child. Judges in several states have seized upon the idea of “psychological” parenthood to award legal parent status to adults who are not related to children by blood, adoption, or marriage. They have done so even over the objection of the child’s biological parent. Advances in the same-sex marriage debate have encouraged group marriage advocates who wish to break open the two-person understanding of marriage and parenthood.

The National Health Education Standards has gone further and envoked in loco parentis by redefining parents as families. Families have been classified as stakeholders. Children’s stakeholders are being identified as any entity that is seen as a resource in a child’s community.  The legal definition of stakeholder is a third party who temporarily holds money or property while its owner is still being determined.

Schools often have insufficient resources to provide a comprehensive and multifaceted continuum of interventions. By having direct contact with families and key informants in the community, schools are better able to identify barriers to student success and well-being and better equipped to develop solutions that overcome these barriers. Schools can enhance home-school links by sharing concerns with families and developing solutions that address students’ unique needs.

In addition to the benefits for students’ education and well-being, students’ families, and school staff, there are reciprocal benefits for community agencies who partner with schools. Businesses, the justice system, community health and safety systems, and others may benefit from a healthier population. Community agencies and organizations that provide services to children and families often gain a more visible profile when they become partners with schools.

Examples of neighborhood stakeholders in student health and well-being are students themselves, as well as their families and teachers. Other school staff, community business owners, police, faith-based institutions, universities and colleges, local health departments, health and mental health service providers, dentists, emergency medical services, educators of first-aid, departments of health, justice, education and social services, and other agencies that serve families have stakes in the well-being of the student population and school staff. Communicate regularly with partners and potential partners in order to learn what each has to offer.

And why do you say that Huckabee would be a poor choice? Is it because you are hoping that Hillary, the Jr. Senator can run against an ex-Senator rather then a Governor. You are making a lot of sense, NOT!

“You’re not a Republican. You’re a Mike groupie”

Though you said this to another poster, I find that offensive. How would you like it if someone told you, “You aren’t a Republican, you are a Fred Groupie” This statement would make more sense because Fred isn’t even in the Senate anymore and he voted against impeaching Clinton. I’m sorry, but I don’t care how many good qualities Fred has, and I will admit he has some, he’s a solid person, but I will not vote for him in the primary unless he is the only one standing against Rudy or McCain. Then, it that case I would vote for him. But meanwhile, I see no reason why to squander an opportunity to nominate a Conservative Republican Governor. We need to make Hillary nervous. She needs to be made to feel that she doesn’t matter, we need to hit her between the eyes, right where her big fat ego is. We need to play it up that she is just a Jr. Senator with no real experience. I think people are being foolish to have pitched their wagon so soon to somone who is an ex Senator while dismissing a conservative Governor who is even more well spoken then Fred. I just hope that it’s posters on the FreeRepublic who have been so foolish and not the whole Republican Party.

When Chuck Norris drives his chariot into the sea, it parts in two and he drives on dry land. The sea does not do this because Chuck commands it, it does it out of respect.

Huckabee would be a poor choice against Hillary.

Huckabee openly admires the Clintons & has criticized Bush for not "reaching out" enough. Well, I guess Bush signing Kennedy's NCLB & Rx plan didn't satisfy Huckabee enough.

because Fred isn’t even in the Senate anymore and he voted against impeaching Clinton.

Lying about a candidate's record is against the rules here. This is the 3rd or 4th thread you repeated this BS on.

Chuck Norris/Ted Nugent would make a great ticket.

So would Ollie North/Chuck Norris

So would Ted Nugent/Charlie Daniels...

The mind boggles at the possibilities, the missed opportunities!
