UPDATE: The city of Malibu is advising residents in Puerco Canyon to begin evacuating due to a wildfire driven by powerful winds. This area is north of Pacific Coast Highway and about 1 mile west of Pepperdine University. Residents along the beach on Malibu Road may soon be evacuated. Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Kanan-Dume Road and Topanga Canyon. Residents are advised to head to the west. Evacuation centers are being set up in the Zuma Beach area.
A wildfire driven by powerful winds in the Malibu Hills this morning threatened a university, destroyed at least one home and forced the evacuation of hundreds more, authorities said.

CELEBRITY HOMES fercryingoutloud!
Come On!
The homes of CELEBRITIES!!!!
...doesn’t everyone know that they are MUCH more important than ordinary citizen’s homes?
make me puke.
All that lame’o had to do was start walking downhill to find a stream that would find a river that would flow into the Ocean. Somewhere along the way he would run into people and be ‘rescued’; but his overweight fat ass didn’t feel like walking so he started a ‘signal fire’ that cost billions of dollars in damages.
What a Dumbski.

Worried about fire jumping 241 Road
Orange County Fire Authority have done tremendous job throughout night.
The following roads, 241, 261, 133 were closed, then reopened then closed again.
261 is closed
241 NB is closed through Portola
Irvine Blvd. b/w Alton and Jeffrey is closed
714-628-7085 phone number for road closures
There are no current new evacuation orders.
However, there are still some ongoing mandatory evacuations.
There have also been some voluntary evacuations recommended.
Plan to have Orange County residents prepared:
Be Ready OC
1. Have all your valuables ready to go, including
a) Personal documents2. For those of you who want to go look at the area, look around, watch the firefighters, take photos, please do not go.
b) Personal photos
c) Passports
This is a challenging fire because of drought conditions and wind. CHP turned traffic around on toll road got commuters off toll road. Sheriff Dept. moved traffic off the streets in the Tustin, in Northwood area.
We couldn't have done this well without help from them and cooperation from State and Federal government.
Cause of fire: Sad to report that this is an arson fire.
There were three separate starts, two on one side of road and one on the other side of the road.
Anything or anyone you suspect, think you know, anything at all please call the Arson Tip Line.
Arson Tip Line: 1-800-540-8282
Prayers for all in harm’s way.
looks like some more threatened homes in Malibu, per channel 2.
I have lots of clients in that area I was due to work in northwood today had truck loaded ready to go got a call from her and said she and half her neighborhood evac late last nite so today is a scrub
But now the fires are erupting in other, ordinary people’s homes.
My prayers for all, celebs and non-celebs alike. I just want people to be safe.
Power lines this time. It’s a regular routine when the winds come up.
