That was an excellent response from Thompson. Dobson was way off base to say what he did. It’s people like him that give the religious right a bad name.
Along with his unequivolcal, clear statement of support for Rush yesterday, this backhand of Dobson sets Fred apart from his Republican rivals. He won’t go on bended knee to anyone.
And lets be realistic here. When Fred hooks up with the Hildabeast in the general, which candidate, pray tell, will Dobson support?
Why do I think that Fred is unlikely to pull a Trent Lott, now or ever?
Isn’t that what Freepers want?
A man with the courage of his convictions, with values and beliefs we can rely upon?
That man is Fred Thompson.
“That was an excellent response from Thompson. Dobson was way off base to say what he did. Its people like him that give the religious right a bad name.”
I agree. I did have respect for Mr. Dobson, but it is obvious now that he seems to think he should make judgements of others. Mr. Dobson has never talked to or met Fred Thompson, but has said that Fred is not a Christian. Not a very Christian thing to say!
Dobson belongs to the creepy, authoritarian side. He drives voters away from conservative values.
I like Dr. Dobson but Fred does make a good point. We need to be more discerning about comments we make. However, I know Dobson is a sincere Christian so I can forgive him for making a boo-boo.
