Another absolutely disgusting example of pre-emptive dhimmitude, in the name of tolerance and multiculturalism, right here in the US: First Jell-O, now Santa.
So long, Halloween parade. Farewell, Santas gift shop.
The holiday traditions are facing elimination in some Oak Lawn schools this year after complaints that the activities are offensive, particularly to Muslim students.
Final decisions on which of the festivities will be axed will fall to the principals at each of Ridgeland School District 122s five schools, Supt. Tom Smyth said.
Parents expect that the announcement is going to add to the tension that has been building since officials agreed earlier this month to change the lunch menu to exclude items containing pork to accommodate Muslim students. News that Jell-O was struck from the menu caused such a stir that officials have agreed to bring it back.
Gelatin is often made with tissue or bones of pigs or other animals.

because they are no threat...they are part of the never ending assault on Christianity today, so in essence help their end means.
Time to stand up and be counted.
I still say what I posted before is true. Many Muslim men are darn right rude to young women. I've been ripped off at their gas station as have enough people where the police are called regularly. I don't have any problem with law abiding Muslims who don't push their traditions on me nor would I push Christmas etc on them. But I will not be treated like a Muslim woman nor will I give them my money. I will spend my money in places where I am helping my neighbor & fellow American. If anyone doesn't like it too bad. You can support Muslim businesses all you want but there are many people who agree with me in my town.
You seemed to have developed a perfect hatred. I will leave you to it.
“I wonder if any of them are capable of understanding that many of these incidents of cultural terrorism are purposely manufactured to create tension.”
You are correct.
Directing our ire at American Muslims is not the answer.
The powers that be — our so called “leaders” — are tacitly, if not actively, condoning these attacks upon our National identity, and THEY are the ones that need to be held accountable for these outrages!
You make the point that some Muslims are decent human beings well.
I agree, there are good men doing good deeds everywhere.
It appears you are blurring the definition between “good men doing good deeds” and Muslims and/or the stated goals of Islam.
I must say that I begin disagreeing with you at this point.
The stated goals of Islam is world dominance and the use of whatever means necessary to get there.
Muslims practice Islam - Islam’s stated goals include dominance of the west.
This statement conflicts with your point.
Muslimization of the US.
My advice to the offended Muslims - get out of my country.
Also, what will they do to children who wear a Christmas shirt to school,
send them to jail for the day? Bah!
I suppose you all are right. I should be directing my “little asterisks” toward the fat, spineless school officials who have apparently left their testicles in jars at home. I will endeavor to direct the blame where it belongs in the future.
I’ll leave you, however, with this: we live in a country that does not respect itself and with a PC-riddled culture that does not respect itself. And I will remain intolerant of those muslims (not all of them) that insist on shoving their offendedness (is that even a word?) down our throats, as well as of the cultural Quislings that collaborate with and cave in to these people.
That’s pretty clever.
Why is it okay for THEM to be intolerant?
They were banning Christmas long before and Moslems showed up. Now they are just the latest excuse.
I, as a Christian, am offended!!!!
Doesn’t that count for anything anymore\? I don’t think so!
Geez!
Shhhhhhhh....don't think it couldn't happen!
dhimsdale.
Not just here in America, but it is INTERnational. So are we to stop celebrating Christmas around the world, next? Christmas is both a religious and commercial holiday, (whether we like to admit it or not). I think there will be more to be said about this from the retail industry than from any religious sector. No Christmas, no presents, no buying sprees, no wave of big dollars spent in December for the tills of free enterprise. That is what the muslims want anyway...the downfall of international enterprise. That is their real goal.
The objection to any religious activity or celebration is only a scam they are employing to get to their ultimate objective. They use the emotional ploy of their long grown old religious beliefs to ignite the dull minds of the sheep (who follow them) into a frienzy against any country that allows any religious practice except muslim. They know their people will fight for something if they base it on religious beliefs and so they can roust followers with this line of thought who wouldn't otherwise be aroused to fight against commercial growth.
Trying to stop the celebration of Christmas (and basing it on religious beliefs alone) - or any holiday anywhere (Easter, Chaunakkah) that sparks heightened spending might just wake people up all over the world when they see what will happen to the economy as a result.
