Someone is going to eventually be the final choice for the GOP, and if the final choice ends up being somebody that too many conservatives all over the U.S. truly decide not to vote for, then Hillary Clinton will probably have enough votes to both win the ‘08 Presidency as well as also help the Democrats win in other races at every level throughout the entire U.S.! Conservatives truly need to work together to truly defeat the “leftist” Democrats at every political level in ‘07, ‘08, and beyond, and not doing this will end up truly creating long-term socialism throughout the U.S.! Does Mr. Dobson and a majority of conservatives all over the entire U.S. truly want to kill themselves politically by making socialism exist throughout the U.S. for the long-term?

Why do I keep having to read this every day? It has been here every day for 2 or three weeks. It was never news for me and I really do not care who Mr. Dobson does or does not support. Enuff already.

This was just discussed on MSNBC (Buchanan and Press). They think FT is going to flame out. FWIW, I am just passing it on. Plus I wanted to respond to a post with 800+ replies!

Thanks for posting this, a lot of Christians that I know are starting to take a serious look at Duncan Hunter.. I am confident that they will like what they see.

TOWARD VICTORY !

David

** MY postings are not intended to be ANTI-Fred Thompson — just PRO-Duncan Hunter — please do not misunderstand me.... being called a “FredHead Basher” just because I choose Duncan Hunter over Fred is getting a little old **

Its going to be real hard to get evangelicals to vote for anything Republican I fear. After being burned by George W.
Maybe Mike Huckabee for me.

Honestly - I don’t care that much for Dobson and don’t really care what he thinks. NOT that you care what I think either! LOL I honestly doubt Mr. Dobson would vote for Hillary or Obama over Thompson though. Just sayin’. I do like Duncan Hunter - it would be cool if he got enough momentum to take the party. However, if he doesn’t, I will support Thompson. He’s a good man - just not quite as aligned with me as Hunter is. But defintiley better than Hillary or Obama.

Unfortunately, Thompson has small cell lymphoma. Large cell caught early can be cured; small cell can never be cured - it will keep coming back. My husband has large cell caught early and the doctor believes after the chemo he is undergoing now and a small amount of radiation, it will be completely gone. His started in the groin and leg. Thompson small cell cancer started under his jaw. He only had radiation, the cancer left, then two months later, there were two tumors under his jaw. He had chemo then. A person's jaw is too close to the head. I believe if Thompson is elected, his vice-president will end up president. Each chemo treatment is worse than the one before and one has to have several treatments; the number depends on how far the cancer has spread and the type it is. They make one weak, sick, and susceptible to disease so the patient has to stay away from people. It would not be good for a president to have to undergo chemo. Poor general health or older people have a worse time with chemo and the body systems may shut down and cause death.

I was going to vote for Thompson until my husband got lymphoma and then I checked to see what type Thompson has. Now, I will likely vote for Romney.

Was there any doubt in anyone’s mind that dobson would NOT support Fred Thompson. It’s a given......dobson began this whole episode, from the beginning, that Fred Thompson was NOT a christian. How does dobson know this? Does he live in Fred Thompson’s brain or heart????????? Give me a break. He’s had something about Fred Thompson, before Fred announced his run for the whitehouse.

I don’t care what Dobson says. Dobson does not represent “ALL” Christians.

Mr. Dobson, as a primarily religious voice, should stay out of the business of endorsing candidates. Period.

Imagine the outcry if the pope, or even perhaps a cardinal, were to publicly endorse or denounce by name a candidate...

To paraphrase Gen Savage (Gregory Peck) from Twelve O'Clock High -
"Padre, your business is sin. In the future you will confine your efforts to that theater of operations."

Make no mistake about it, these candidates and influential political activist leaders who threaten to not support the Party’s nominee are playing political extortion to gain policy concessions or angle for a key appointment. They know very well that if they succeed in pulling away even a moderate fraction of voters from the Republican presidential candidate (and down-ballot Republican candidates that benefit from straight ticket votes), they likely will had the Democrats the win, since recently the margin of victory in many elections is within a few percent.

A true Republican or conservative would not willingly hand power over to liberal Democrats, who are guaranteed to work against our values. Political suicide is not in our nature, nor condoned in our religious teachings, nor consistent with our Constitution. Leave the futile political statements to those not fortified with a higher purpose.
