Thank you, and I agree. And I wonder, why do some have to try and be so negative? I think all the candidates did excellent, and I even appreciated the fire-works. No, the Republican candidates are bringing us the chance to select someone who can lead our nation well. I am very proud to be a Republican. Whether one supports Rudy, Mitt, John, or Tom, and so on, I am ready to support the candidate that voters in the Republican Party select as their candidate. No, I am not going to be negative, because I have no reason to be. Now that the “immigration (amnesty) bill” has been defeated, or put away for probably another four years or more, I am not going to let these picking at “past abortion views” and such to sway me - yes, I support Mitt Romney, but I can also support a Rudy or a John McCain, or a Tom Tancredo, if that is who fellow Republicans select. And while I STRONGLY disagree with a Ron Paul, I would support him if that is who the members of the Party select in the primary contest. Though, the odds are zero it will be a Ron Paul. Among the top candiates, I would support any of them. I will argue, no doubt, as the battle heats up. I will use tactics, and support my candidate and fight. But, any of these, can be my President.

“Ron Paul is a FRAUD. He is no conservative. He is a moderate libertarian who is leading far to many good conservatives off the cliff simply because he rolled the constitution into a flute and plays a pied piper tune they like to hear..”

How anyone could support this nutjob after tonight is amazing to me.

With the exception of Paul, we certainly do. They each have varying degrees of appeal for me, but in the long run —in the general 08 election— I could fully support any one against whoever the RATs nominate.

Primaries are a different issue!

Following the usual lovefest for Rudi (Fox News' eternal free-love fixation), Rudi left the stage. I didn't see Sean afterward so hopefully those two are toetapping in a men's room nearby.

Then we adjourned to the Spin Room where one of Mitt's metrosexual spinmeisters was giggling about his nostril hair. Ewww...

Next to Mitt himself. I thought he looked personable, did reasonably well in the debate. He does have a lot of interpersonal skills. Notice how he first focuses undivided on Alan Colmes, totally engaged, then he flips around to fully engage with Hannity (fresh from his Rudifest in the men's room) deflecting his obvious attack on his sons on military service. Mitt was uncommitted but broadly optimistic about the surge status in Iraq.

In the replay of the Ron Paul vs. Huckabee segment, I was surprised how weak Huckabee was and how unprepared he was to attack RP's position.

I've noticed that they've never yet grasped that our fundraising and numbers increase with every attack on Ron Paul.

I can’t stand Luntz or Morris~ To me they both reside in the same category as Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson ~
Anytime they are sought out to “speak for the average voter” I’m like What the hell?

Re: I often watch Jay Leno....but I rarely vote for his guests to be president of the USA.

Okay, I can see that... But since Fred has not yet (As of 10:04 CST) been Jay's guest, which of Jay's guest have you rarely vote for for President in the past?

McLame has no desire to secure the borders.

He wants AMNESTY! Amnesty is unacceptable.

It certainly is a code word for just that.

But try to call someone who uses the term on it, and you will get a blank stare.

I like Hunter too, but he’s not getting the attention he needs to move ahead. Hunter would make a fantastic VP if he doesn’t win the nomination, though.

I still say, Romney is much better than Guiliani. I just can’t take Rudy, although I think he probably is one tough sob.
