Aren’t there WAY too many Republican Congressional types dying/resigning today for our comfort?

LOL. She was everything that Hillary wishes she was.

Yep. Including being a woman.

Good grief! I met Dunn on several occasions - she was always gracious, patient, and well-spoken. We lost a very fine woman here. RIP.

Wow— What a terrible shame for the family. I met her a few times, I’m just very surprised.

The GOP is losing members and former members at a rapid pace, either by resignation or death!

So sad. A good friend of mine died suddenly from a pulmonary embolism a few years back. She was in her basement doing laundry when she just fell over dead. Not the slightest hint that anything was wrong prior to that.

Prayers going out for the Dunn family in their time of grief.

Just announced on fox a few minutes ago, but obviously they are behind on this. All they said was she may have died, and I heard one of the anchors gasp when it was said.

Regarding her voting records. I just received an email from the local Republican party guy saying that he and Jennifer had been working hard to support Romney. I DO NOT want to sidetrack this thread - but I have been discounting Romney for several reasons, and perhaps I need to look at him a bit more.

“I just received an email from the local Republican party guy saying that he and Jennifer had been working hard to support Romney.”

Dont you find it a little shameful someone so soon would use her to promote their candidate? I don’t know who Dunn was supporting, but I wouldn’t let it sway my support either way. You can find good people behind all the candidates.

Here’s his comment that he attached to his email that had Jennifer’s obit. I didn’t take it as shameful campaigning - just one of those “we were working closely together and I just talked to her....” types of comments. Perhaps I’m too naive.

“I am completely shocked and deeply saddened by this news. This is a great loss to us all. My thoughts and prayers are with Reagan and the rest of Jennifer’s family. Jennifer and I had been working together on Mitt Romney’s campaign and been exchanging email and phone calls regularly right up until the end of last week. I’m so sad. — Toby Nixon”

Story:

Jennifer Dunn was standing in the back of the room at the Washington State R Convention in the Tri-Cities in 2000, marshalling the delegates for Bush.

The Pro-Lifers were circulating a petition for National Committeemen (I think), and were using their virtually trademarked Red Rose to indicate the list was a group of true pro-lifers.

Jennifer’s team put together a mimicked list with most of the same members, in the same order, on the same paper, with the Red Rose, but a few Pro-Choice people replacing a few Pro-Life people. This was clearly an attempt to confuse delegates into voting for Pro-Choice candidates on accident. It was virtual political fraud, done under her nose by her people, and at her direction, in my opinion.

Jennifer was a grand lady who usually did the right thing by Republicans. But she was Pro-Choice and always advocated making the whole party Pro-Choice, and definitely did not like having Pro-Life people in the party. She thought they were rubes.
