“Do not post to me”

We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this.
1. It's impossible for us to enforce.
2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.
3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.
4. Thick skin helps.
5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply.
Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps.
Final note: Trolls, troublemakers, disruptors, forum pests, malcontents, RINOs, liberals, stalkers, et al, would continue posting to (harassing) someone after being asked to stop. Conservative FReepers would not.

"Just had the walls and ceilings textured ..." The way I bounce and oscillate down the hall like a microwave beam in a waveguide, I'm sure I'd love to live in a sandpaper house!

It’s only a light knockdown texture...
And with these old lath and plaster walls with 20 coats of paint, it’s the only way to go for us.

"But it's bad news then because we don't have A/C."
That was one of the first upgrades my wife made me do to the house when we moved back in....central air (she was pregnant with our first at the time). I had to sell my S10 Blazer to pay for it, but it is WELL worth the money. In CA, definitely! (Though I never had it even there.) But up here it's needed only some 4 days a year, and the basement is still there if needed (haven't retreated to it in years).

So be on your best behavior, like you were the month we visited the Pope. I will wear shoes while posting. Do Crocs count as shoes?

If they are really well trained, you can walk across water.

Well, that was really very rude of him, Hank.
I hope you never spoke to him again.

I once had a guy try to forbid me from posting on any thread he posted.
I just pointed out that the question he asked in his first post was answered in the article.

Well, no I didn't, actually. But I could make up something fairly interesting.

I will not stand idly by and allow myself to be a victim of such calumny.
