We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this.
1. It's impossible for us to enforce.
2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.
3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.
4. Thick skin helps.
5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply.
Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps.
Final note: Trolls, troublemakers, disruptors, forum pests, malcontents, RINOs, liberals, stalkers, et al, would continue posting to (harassing) someone after being asked to stop. Conservative FReepers would not.

I was just making a little joke, which I see was unfunny. There really only has been one FReeper — THUS FAR — who has asked me not to post to him; apparently he has forgiven or forgotten, because I've posted to him in other contexts a number of times since then.
Since all has become well, why stir things up?

I have been on this site for over 10 years and I have never, ever hit the sissy “report abuse” button on anybody. And I think anybody that does is a pussy.
I can match every woman you know who does this with a man I know who does it, too. Insecurity runs both ways.

Happened to me once, FR mail also asked not to use.
I just kept posting to others I posted to until I was privately asked not to post to them either by the same poster!
So I could be posted to/FR mailed to, but I wasn't supposed to be allowed to return the posts etc...One problem, didn't last long, no problem.
Some people just don't want to play fair!
So, what a good idea by the Mods.

Sometimes it’s very difficult to ignore an outrageous post. I will try harder :)
Let’s say that Admin. Mod is Government. What sorts would be whining for increased Government control over our lives?
If one thinks before hitting the “Post” button, the responses are usually quite responsible, if not they are usually from cranks breaking FR rules and routed by the Admin. Monitor anyway.
Sounds to me as though some “Crybabies” have gone running to the A.M. with “Mommy, Johnny said I have a booger face”. Like some little whiny kid. That’s Dem, Lib, Socialist stuff...THEY are the whiners, NOT FREEPERS.
That’s not surprising. The filter reminds me of the engineering marvel that came out known as the “Edsle” (sp?).

Yeo. Its a means for idiots to make commentary, but not be required to respond. Its also a way the more cowardly administrators/moderators can AVOID RESPONSIBILITY.

Well, if you’re going to light a fuse, give me a little notice first...so I can run like hell (lol). Seriously though, I’ve read in the blogosphere that some moderators have went through a replacement cycle. Someone once called me kiss-a@@ to the mods. I copied the mods with my reply which was ‘I couldn’t give two bubbling fish farts what the moderators think of me’ (lol). I know the rules and I stay within them. The most pesky are the one’s that you mention that start a battle (debate) they’re not willing to fight through the end (lol) Piss on em’ :)
