"I found Jesus" Religion: The opiate of criminals, too.

2 years in prison should help him grow up.

"Through this situation I've found Jesus."

F Lee "fill in blank" told him to say that.

A 25 year old afraid to go to the Dentist, needs to grow up.

A 29 year old who lives with his parents, needs to grow up.

A 35 year old still going to keg parties, needs to grow up.

A 40 year old who leaves the family at home, while he go to a strip bar, need to grow up.

A Dog Killer, needs to go to jail.

"I found Jesus" Religion: The opiate of criminals, too.

My dad has worked in corrections for almost 40 years. He says, only half-joking, that Jesus must be in prison, because everyone there finds him, and as soon as they get back out they lose him again.

I would have found Vick's mea culpa more credible if he hadn't invoked Jesus. It's too easy. Too cheap. It's like he's working out his argument to the parole board before he even goes in. II's a transparent ploy

But forget abut me and my dad, Ask Chuck Colson. He knows more than i about repentance and conversion, and how to tell the real fro the fake,.

He was in my trunk when I got back from Matamoros!

While Vick “grows up”, we will all “throw up” with all of the P.R. that Vick and his legal team will continue to create for the next three months!

“Through this situation I’ve found Jesus.”

In over 8 years as a prosecutor, I now have figured out that Jesus lives at our local jail. It must be so, because everyone who spends a month or more out there swears to the judge that they have found Jesus. He must stay at the jail when they leave, though, because as soon as they are out the door, Jesus is the last thing on their minds!

It is a shame, too, because if they really found Jesus, it might do them some good.

"You've proved to me that all this ultra-violence and killing is wrong, wrong, and terribly wrong. I've learned my lesson, sir. I see now what I've never seen before. I'm cured, praise God!...I see that it's wrong! It's wrong because it's like against society. It's wrong because everybody has the right to live and be happy without being tolchocked and knifed."

Nam, is Vick going to get rich when he is done paying back his debt to society...if you thought the $130 million with $27 million dollar the signing bonus was something, wait until Vick returns to the NFL, can you say 200 million dollar 45 signing bonus deal with all the other teams except the Falcons will dish out for Vick’s services?

I listened to this at lunch. IMO, all scripted, considerably coached, and most definitely a long-term plan.

He figures one year probation, a heavy fine, and return to the NFL in one year ("a lot to think about in the next year"), maybe three. Look for many stories about how common dog fighting and animal cruelty is in the next year, to smoke-up the clarity of public perception of the horror of the acts -- a coordinated campaign to get the asset back into production.

Note no admission of gambling. That would be lifetime.

He said, "Through this situation I've found Jesus."

Oh yeah! And in this bizarro world, even Paris Hilton discovered the bible before heading off to the one person prison cell...

Vick should be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan, where he could work for something larger than himself.

But then, he’s no Pat Tillman.

Being truthful about EVERYTHING he did rather than lying and giving half-truths would have been a great start.

With any luck he will have several years to contemplate that in the federal pen.

Apologize:
1. To make an apology or defense.

2. To make an apology or excuse; to make acknowledgment of some fault or offense, with expression of regret for it, by way of amends; — with for; as, my correspondent apologized for not answering my letter.

3. To defend

OK, so he apopogized, but not once did he say he was truly sorry.

He is scum.

Gotta wonder if when these dogs were screaming in pain that Vick and his friends were watching, bobbing his head and uttering: "yeah, that's good... Real good..."

or

"No, keep the dog alive and do it again"

Just wondering...

IMMATURE? Note to Michael Vick: Shut up. No normal child could even listen to a description of what you did, and no decent human being of any age would have dreamed of doing what you did to your dogs. Immaturity has nothing to do with it. Go away, and let the people who love football take pleasure in the game again — and cheer real men.

How quaint. It’ll take a few years to prove it though, Mr Vick. I’m sure you’ll be kept busy with a bunch of new adventures (e.g. NOT football or commercial endorsements) during that time.

It is funny.

People are making a huge deal about this Mike Vick thing. What he did was disgusting and wrong. He deserves his punishment.

But what about the people who will kill up to approx 4000 unborn babies a day in the USA tomorrow ? Those unborn babies deserve more protection than the dogs at Bad Newz Kennels.

What goes through the minds of those abortion docs. (Kill some unborn babies, swing through Wendys for lunch, go back to work and kill more “uterine contents”)

People are looking at Mike Vick like he is Adolf Hitler while there are abortionists and baby killers roaming our streets with freedom to kill more babies.

what a disgusting society we live in !
