Things are lush in SE Wisconsin; so lush that we’re now under a flood warning through the evening. It’s northeast Minnesota that desperately needs the rain.
Cool, thank you
Very slim chance for this storm to cross Mexico and re-emerge as a viable storm system in the Pacific. The portion of Mexico’s land mass is very wide where Dean is headed, and there are two Sierra Madre mountain ranges (Oriental and Occidental). Tropical systems don’t fare well with land and mountains.
Did you see Erin has reformed as an inland TS? Wow...
OK...I was a bit confused why you were talking about Minnesota...I thought Wisconsin was your state.
Galveston Bay *whew*; but I’m stocked and ready for the next time.
Wow. I set the animation to that loop on slow speed and the eye of the hurricane really does look like an eye in the last loop. Creepy.
What you got uncle bill doin???Hmmm?
LOL!
I wasn’t there when it happened but it turned out that the owner set the place on fire because he didn’t have flood insurance.
We saw that happen in NOLA as well.
Testing!!!
I would say there is no chance whatsoever that it makes it to the Pacific side.
Freaky; this morning it even had an eye in Oklahoma.
“I keep a hurricane kit ready every for every season, I have water, 25 lbs for rice, 10lbs of jerky, other foods that will keep, 50lb oc charcoal to cook, and beer.”
What, no dried beans, powdered milk, spaghetti, grits, oatmeal, dried fruits and raisins? And don’t forget the bourbon for your medical kit (for some reason my medical kit takes up half the space of my hurricane/emergency supplies ;-)
Thank you for this practical, common-sense approach, NN.
Your hard work and thoughtfulness are VERY much appreciated!
Very cool graphic. Thanks. The last few frames show a wobble to the NW. Bad news for Jamaica. Prayers up.
