RawStory.com is an extremist far left "news" spin/propaganda site.

It surprises me not at all (unfortunately) to see a Ron Paul supporter automatically dipping into that particular poisoned well.

So do you have a source that refutes the claims made in the article?

Sounds like you're doing the Paulitroll shuffle to me.

I doubt that Ron Paul would get 9% of strictly Republican votes.

When he ran (as a Libertarian) for POTUS in 1988 he was much less insane than he is now and he got less than one half of one percent of the vote.

He would not get that much now.

And I'll update Ron Paul's Wikipedia article with the ingredients to a Butterfingers candy bar and the lyrics to Comfortably Numb.

As long as I copy carefully, I can be assured my entry will be the most accurate information on the page.

Now....since I have answered your question. please back up this claim:

He won't.

He'll continue to repeat the lie, hoping that no one calls him on it.

Watch his response carefully, there will be nothing but logical fallacies, term switching, and redefinition to suit his pre-determined view.

You ought to know better than to confuse these guys with facts.

Your definition of "slaughter" and mine are far different. Millions dead is a slaughter.

So, in your mind, it only becomes a "slaughter" if 2,000,000 people or more are killed (or 1,500,000 if we round up)?

I am not surprised you support Ron Paul then.

There was no slaughter in Vietnam, which you misrepresented...

Uh, no, you're the one misrepresenting facts. Taken from the WSJOpinionJournal: http://opinionjournal.com/extra/?id=110010382

Here is what did happen:

In 1973, the U.S. withdrew its troops from Vietnam, as Mr. Kerry had urged. In December 1974, the Democratic Congress ended military aid to South Vietnam. In April 1975, Saigon fell.

According to a 2001 investigation by the Orange County Register, Hanoi's communist regime imprisoned a million Vietnamese without charge in "re-education" camps, where an estimated 165,000 perished. "Thousands were abused or tortured: their hands and legs shackled in painful positions for months, their skin slashed by bamboo canes studded with thorns, their veins injected with poisonous chemicals, their spirits broken with stories about relatives being killed," the Register reported.

Laos and Cambodia also fell to communists in 1975. Time magazine reported in 1978 that some 40,000 Laotians had been imprisoned in re-education camps: "The regime's figures do not include 12,000 unfortunates who have been packed off to Phong Saly. There, no pretense at re-education is made. As one high Pathet Lao official told Australian journalist John Everingham, who himself spent eight days in a Lao prison last year, 'No one ever returns.' "

The postwar horrors of Vietnam and Laos paled next to the "killing fields" of Cambodia, where the Khmer Rouge undertook an especially vicious revolution. During that regime's 3 1/2-year rule, at least a million Cambodians, and perhaps as many as two million, died from starvation, disease, overwork or murder. The Vietnamese invaders who toppled the Khmer Rouge in 1979 were liberators, albeit only by comparison.

In the aftermath of America's withdrawal from Vietnam, hundreds of thousands of refugees fled Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. According to the U.N. High Commissioner on Refugees, between 1975 and 1995 more than 1.4 million Indochinese escaped, nearly 800,000 of them by boat. This does not include "boat people" who died at sea, 10% of the total by some estimates.

Of course, that's fine with you since "let 'em kill each other off" seems to be your motto. Why would that be I wonder? I wonder?

Speaking of hoaxes, did you ever repudiate the lie you told about David Duke's endorsement of Ron Paul, or are you still telling that lie?

I haven't heard that one before, so I decided to check.. it seems David Duke does endorse Ron Paul.. who woulda thunk.. at that, David Duke's site seems to be an unofficial Ron Paul 08 site right now.. lol..

http://www.davidduke.com/

http://www.davidduke.com/general/ron-paul-scores-19-percent-in-illinois-straw-poll_2621.html#more-2621

Ron Paul is a truly great American and our best chance to reverse all the un-Constitutional abuses by the neocons and the Bush administration over the last six and a half years.

http://www.davidduke.com/general/ron-paul-outdoes-rivals-in-iowa-draws-bigger-crowd-than-main-event_2369.html

If we can defeat the corporate big shots and elitist snobs running Washington, DC, then maybe we can pull off a similar victory with Ron Paul.

Good to know you exists. My own opinion is that Ron Paul supporters are really just leftists trying to mess with the Republican nomination process.

Trying to confuse voters, create outrageous candidates to make the average American think Republicans are crazy, and the like.

Why else would I see Ron Paul signs around with what appear to be hammers and sickles? (not graffiti, but the signs themselves)

It does not matter what L. Ron Paulie SAYS. What matters is what he DOES. His policy would reserve abortion to those states that will continue to tolerate it and make NYC, LA, Chicago and a few other benighted impacted leftist areas the (you should pardon the expression) Meccas of American abortion. No thanks! SCOTUS federalized this issue and abused the 14th Amendment to do so. We will be using the 14th Amendment Equal Protection clause as well as the fulcrum and a definition of personhood including the unborn as persons to punch the ticket on abortion NATIONALLY. In addition to appropriate criminal penalties for the hired killers, we can repeal the FACE Act while using it and RICO as the basis for federal court jurisdiction to impose injunctions with the usual draconian CIVIL penalties for violations, penalties imposed for contempt of court and NOT requiring jury verdicts, thus avoiding the "jury nullification" strategy.

Isn't Grover Norquist the guy who runs the National Taxpayers' Union? Isn't he the one who converted to Islam when he married a Muslim woman? Whatever could his agenda be in scrubbing the Galveston shrimpin' porkmeister? On top of which, what is mere money compared to 50 million + innocent unborn humans sliced, diced and hamburgerized while paleoPaulie poses for holy pictures as a pro-lifer but resists any meaningful attempt to put an end to the slaughter on the basis of faux "constitutionalist" fussiness???

There are areas like the protection of the innocent human lives of each and every person where the constitution itself provides national jurisdiction.

I would also add, we had 3000 plus US citizens slaughtered on 9/11, far less than the 160,000 plus that died in the reeducation camps in Vietnam, not to mention the 1.5 million in Cambodia. The nutty doctor and yourself believe there was no slaughter of the innocent after we pulled our forces from Vietnam. Unbelievable.

The whole point of the article is the "proof" was destroyed while behind locked doors and again, while I don't give a hoot about Ron Paul you can't take his claims and totally dismiss them unless you are one of the ones seeking to limit his support or naive.

The claims come from a loony. That's proven by the links. And when a loony claims that the "proof was destroyed" ergo no proof other than what he claims, I take it with a grain of salt. Whether Ron Paul supports these claims or not has not yet been proven. However pre-poll comments by him do indicate he may have sympathy for them (at the very least).

So do you take these rants as gospel? Do you? Do you, then also take this idiot's ravings about 9/11 being a Zionist plot as gospel? Do you? Or do you believe the first claim but not the latter? Do you? If so, where do you draw the line with such idiots?

If you think I'm a seminar poster that's the biggest laugh I've had for a long time. Thanks for making it a funny day.

The article is not written by David Duke, and i'll offer you the same challenge that wideawake failed to take up. (although he/she posted the same drivel from Duke's website)

Produce any primary source statement of David Duke's endoursement of Ron Paul for the Republican Presidential Nomination.

i won't be holding my breath in anticipation

This HAS to be BS. CFR is JUST a think-tank. (sarc)
