Just happened. Not up on USGS yet. Probably about a 5.0
4.5 Rocky Peak area...118 fwy oat mtn
Emergency preparedness at a bare minimum:
Shotgun, flashlight and H2O
Did you like that bd476?
Oh man did you feel that? I’m just South of the Northridge fault - that was a ride and a half.
I was just falling asleep....thought I was imagining it....no damage
Felt it here in Camarillo - woke me up.
Very brief, weak, felt it in the Hollywood Hills. But I live on a granite hill, so I am in no position to guage it. I lived through a lot of ‘em.
You were sleeping?! FReepers never sleep!!
: )
Made my dog bark. It was his first earthquake.
No, I can’t say that I enjoyed it very much. That was a bumpy ride.
I thought a cat jumped on my bed.....and I dont own a cat!
I have some water, some MREs, batteries, flashlights but really behind in earthquake prep.
Sounds like you have the basics!
Wow, I thought that it was solid bedrock where you are. Anything damaged?
I think it’s up now. Felt it in Ventura. I hate earthquakes!!
Im on the couch were I generally feel them pretty well.
Didnt feel a thing in Glendale. Others may have.
Lucky you then. In the San Fernando Valley it was a build-up side to side shake then up and down motion over and over and over. I held on to my chair and computer.
It was loud.
