Charleston Police Find Vehicle Loaded With Explosives

Washington - Local police outside Charleston, South Carolina stopped a vehicle in which they found what were suspected to be explosives, according to media reports late Saturday.

Two men described as being of possibly Middle Eastern origin were in the vehicle, which was stopped on a highway.

A police bomb squad was at the scene and preparing to examine the vehicle, a local television reported told the Cable News Network (CNN).

I believe Goose Creek facility this is all that is left of the once very strong Navy presence in Charleston.

When did I say the bomb squad used firecrackers to detonate the item?

If you’d read the article you would have noticed the spokeman said it sounded like a “firecracker” .... which is what I alluded to.

That must be their best guess. I can tell you that one of my best buddies was a SAC guy for years. Flew BUFF’s and he NEVER knew or could find out how many specials were on the base at any time. On carriers there are only a handful of people who know what is actually in the magazines. I have been told that on boomers they actually vary the load of the missiles with dummy warheads. Only the weapons officer, the ExO and the Captain actually know what is in each tube. - and of course some guy on shore. The nut jobs tried for years to find out what was at the Concord Naval Weapons Station and the Navy would only say that the facility stored weapons based upon the needs of the Navy at any given time (came out after it was closed that there hadn’t been any nukes there for years - because of guess what security concerns).

Just watching CNN on Sunday at 7 p.m. and they confirmed there was definately at least ONE explosive device and some igniters, as well as illegal firearms found in the van. This is along with the explosives.

The reporter said the men were American citizens with middle eastern names, and were found within a short distance of the Naval prison.

Oh we are gonna get WHACKED. Open borders, a media that sides with the left who hates the notion that we're still a sovereign nation, unbending to the U.N., combined with the surrender-crats who currently control our house and senate, along with a CINC who's trying his damndest to create a North American Union... doesn't exactly afford us much to prevent getting WHACKED

As long as TSA Nazis shake down old white ladies at airports, but continue to be afraid of imams who "test" the same system, we should all prepare to get WHACKED. When it happens, as a nation we'll have well worked our way into thoroughly deserving it!

I'll be honest with you though...it's not getting whacked that bothers me the most. It is at least predictable and therefore we can resign ourselves to it, and even prepare on an individual basis. What bothers me is that I know good and well that there are opportunistic politicians who know these same things, and yet they'll permit them to occur in order to capitalize on the power that's going to be handed to them on a silver platter by the multitudes of American cowards who want their noses cleaned, butts wiped, food delivered, physical security assured and everything else they're used to getting from the nanny that guarantees that pursuing the American Dream can continue.

You and I live in a "bubble" and think that everybody should be willing to issue forth deadly force with extreme prejudice in the execution of protecting the Republic from enemies, foreign and domestic! Unfortunately, we're a minority and always have been. But you know good and well that the next time a murderous pack of middle eastern men blow something up here in the U.S., it's probably going to be more serious on a positive nonlinear scale. It won't be "small" the next time.

So maybe there IS a reason the CINC enacted that Executive Order last May that basically makes him "King" if we have serious systems disruptions.

Sorry but I just can't paint a very happy picture about what I see unfolding lately. :-)

More details to this rather muddled story. What is clear now is that the local media is much more fathoming in describing the actors as ME and confirming that they did in fact posses explosives.

National media is not touching the ME angle and is retreating from using the “bomb” word. National media reports display a marked degree of sanitizing while local media has displayed a modicum of journalistic responsibility.

However this traffic stop was -not- routine. Other media has stated that another “ongoing” investigation led to the ME actors being pulled over.

At this time there are still conflicting media accounts as to whether criminal charges have in fact been filed. Are the actors under arrest, detained or already in Gitmo.

No real clarity yet as to what is transpiring.
