Washington - Local police outside Charleston, South Carolina stopped a vehicle in which they found what were suspected to be explosives, according to media reports late Saturday.
Two men described as being of possibly Middle Eastern origin were in the vehicle, which was stopped on a highway.
A police bomb squad was at the scene and preparing to examine the vehicle, a local television reported told the Cable News Network (CNN).

Unless they decided to maintain a lower profile by traveling US Route 17.
Just a thought.

For the record in this thread where we have gone this far without noticing the import og Goose Creek in detail Charleston Naval Weapon Station Sixty W-80-0 Tomahawk SLCM munitions and 85 nuclear aerial bombs for deck-based aircraft are stored at Charleston Naval Weapons Station, located on the west bank of the Cooper River, 40 km from Charleston, South Carolina.
The mission of the Naval Weapons Station Charleston is to maintain and operate facilities and provide, as appropriate, services and material ...

Isn’t it interesting how this story kept getting more vague as time passed? At least some of us read the original reports and know the truth. Nothing short of nuclear devices being exploded by groups of Islamofascists will result in the truth being told by the leftist mainstream media, I fear.

Isn't it interesting how this story kept getting more vague as time passed? There has not been any more info since the beginning. Too quiet. Not even a mention of if these persons-of-interest are in custody or were allowed to go on their way. Although, without knowing, I suspect these two are in custody. I suspect I know where but there has been no confirmation, that I have seen reported.

“You mean like a couple of years ago when the ME student blew himself up outside an OU football game after he tried unsuccessfully to get in?
He wasn’t ME, but his roommate was and some reports indicate he hung out with others who were as well.
IIRC His roommate was a Pakistani national who was questioned and released by the FBI. The FBI had to use a tractor trailer to empty the apartment of all the “goodies”. A local reporter got a look at the inventory list when an FBI agent left the list face up on the seat of his car. The bench the kid vaporized him self on was tested positive for TATP. Only local news carried any details. The MSM wouldn’t touch the story with a 10 foot pole.

Nothing short of nuclear devices being exploded by groups of Islamofascists will result in the truth being told by the leftist mainstream media, I fear. HA! You think that would do it???
Nonsense. It would be reported as an accident with one of our own bombs, and they'd call for an immediate total unilateral nuclear disarmament.
Still no reports on Fox this AM...

"I was in Charleston visiting family 3 weeks ago and everywhere I went there was a noticeable police presenceespecially after 9 pm on most roads. Unlike California, the police in South Carolina will pull over a car for any reason they want. I like that. Maybe thats what California needs (and soon)"
That is a very foolish position to take. Why not just shred the Bill of Rights and do away with warrants and those pesky court proceedings.

The Navy or the rest of the military would NEVER reveal the quantity of weapons in a location. He$$ they hardly acknowledge that a base even has them.

Lots of these little .....not terrorist related incidents of late.........
We are gonna get whacked hard if this mindset persists.
I can understand the Not Related information released by the FiBi’s and such after investigation but such as we saw on the bridge in MN........the NTR issued minutes after the bridge collapse was comical and telling of a trend that will get lots of folks hurt.

Strange, for sure. If it wasn't for FR, we wouldn't hear about most of these things. One of the more interesting updates was the news report that contained this paragraph:
According to Lt. Vince Lombardo, deputies discovered the suspicious items in the trunk during a traffic stop. The two men inside the vehicle are detained at the scene. Lombardo also said information from an investigation in another jurisdiction raised the suspicions of the deputies.
I'd be surprised if this was a "routine" traffic stop.

The item was exploded and it went pop like a firecracker ... not boom like a bomb The bomb squad doesn't use firecrackers to detonate "suspicious packages", let alone "improvised explosives".
