Refusing to learn English (they're here in such large numbers that they don't have to), waving Mexican flags at immigration protests, booing the U.S. national anthem at U.S. vs. Mexico sporting events, and calling for the "re"-establishment of the state of Aztan in the American Southwest isn't assimilating in any way.

Other than a now and then taco, and jumping beans, I am puzzled as to what benefit it would be to assimilate any part of Latino culture. I do not wish to live impoverished, and surrounded by birthing teens that quit school to better experience their corrupt immoral little corner of America.

They don't learn the language , they don't follow our laws and like Lopez warned or threatened they will NEVER assimilate.
Maybe the illegals should just go home and they won’t have to assimilate at all. As for the rest, if they truly aren’t interested in becoming Americans, we can learn to get along without them as well — most of the world would give an arm for the chance to become Americans.
