Protester removed from Fred Thompson event
CNN Political Ticker ^ | 07/25/07 | Steve Brusk

HOUSTON, Texas (CNN) – A woman screaming “you’re not a real conservative, sir” was removed by police from a welcoming reception for likely GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson Wednesday morning. A second protester was also taken from the room.

Houston police officers escorted the woman — as well as a man — from the hangar at Hobby Airport, where Thompson was shaking hands with a crowd of supporters. They were not arrested.

The woman questioned Thompson as he talked to reporters. She asked him why he was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and noted that the organization supported the North American Union with Canada and Mexico.

Note this is an excerpt.

Do you think the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has America's best interest in mind?

Given that the CFR was deeply instrumental in the creation of the UN, extreme doubt obtains...

So the CFR just basically sits around and debates, with nothing ever changing, with no power, or influence to change anything in regards to law, politics, government policies etc?

Given that every SecDef has been a member, since it was founded, at a minimum (there are other cabinet post which have likewise been filled exclusively by CFR members, or members of spinoff groups), I'd say they have/have had a heck of a lot of power and influence over law, politics, and govermnet policies over the last several decades. Much more than could be considered healthy by anyone with a modicum of brain cells...

Because she and the guy she was with [there were two of them] were escorted out by the police and got into a car with a Ron Paul bumper sticker on it. I saw the video of the incident. She was screaming at the police not to touch her.

She also would not let Fred speak. Kept shouting questions with no break in between. He said something cute. Don’t fuss at me. You asked me a question now let me answer. That may not be an exact quote but it is really close.

Part of the reason I thought she was a nutjob was her shouting at him, asking him question after question without an opportunity to answer.

Maybe the woman found out about Thompson’s pro immigration appointment.

Could her eyes still dilate?

This is actually pretty worrisome if true - and I've been very warm to the idea of FT up to this point.

According to Wikipedia, Fred is also a member of David Rockefeller’s Trilateral Commission. I really don’t know the significance of this, but I would like to hear what he has to say about it. The Trilateral Commission is a bit more than a “think Tank.”

I hope Fred can give a better answer than yours.
So far, I don’t have a dog in this race except to say that Rudy, McCain and Romney will not get my vote; and Paul’s stance on Iraq rules him out as far as I am concerned. I will probably end up voting for Fred Thompson in the primary, but I do have qualms. I would really like to see him address the question this woman rudely presented.
